This is the tab for school-level verification of the data. The school selects the collection and the extracts for that survey will display along the left of the screen. The right side will display a colored gauge indicating the rate of errors found in the data base for that element.
1. From the Pennsylvania Reports menu, click PIMS Verification Reports.
2. Select the Collection from the corresponding pull-down.
3. Select an Effective Date from the month, day, and year pull-downs or by clicking the calendar icon.
4. Click Refresh Report.
5. Click the applicable extract from the left hand panel.
If the Collection or Effective Date is changed, click Refresh Report to update the list of extracts available.
The number of errors for the element is color coded and hyperlinked.
Black: 100% error-free
Blue: Between 99% - 90% error-free
Orange: Between 89% - 80% error-free
Red: Between 79% - 0% error-free
6. Click on the number of errors link to show a list of the students on whose records the error exists.
7. Click on the student’s name to go to the record and fix the erroneous data.
8. The Errors are displayed in the corresponding right panel. The screen automatically navigates to the correct screen in order to fix the errors displayed on the verification report.
9. Click the X to close the pop-up window to return to the list of students. Then, click Recover Options.
10. From the list of students, click Go Back to Summary to return to the original extract.
