FOCUS-42979- Communication Platform | Resolve Error in Message Derived from Select Options Query with School ID Variable

This update resolves a SQL error related to the school_id variable in the student field. Previously, using this variable would cause an error when printing or sending messages. The issue has been addressed, ensuring that messages print and send without errors.

FOCUS-42959- Test History: Improve Visual Display of Computed Fields Flagged as 'Visible on Student Grades'

This update enhances the display of Computed Fields marked as "Visible on Student Grades" on the Test History screen, improving their visual presentation.

FOCUS-42954- Address & Contacts: New System Preference to Bypass Zoned School During Address Changes

This update introduces a new system preference titled "Allow Address Change if Address is in Address Catalog" located under System Preferences -> Enrollment. This setting allows users, such as a parent filling out a re-enrollment form, to enter addresses from the Address Catalog that are not zoned for the currently enrolled school, provided that the "Use the Address Catalog for address validation" preference is also enabled. By default, the new preference is disabled, meaning districts will continue to receive the usual validation errors unless this preference is manually activated.

See System Preferences > Enrollment for more information.

FOCUS-42953- New Search: Resolve Teacher More Search Options by Session School

This update fixes a caching issue in the "More Search Options" within the New Search feature. Previously, when switching session schools, the dropdown lists incorrectly showed teachers from schools not selected for the session. Now, the cache will be cleared appropriately, ensuring that all teacher lists in the search options accurately reflect the school currently selected in the session.

FOCUS-42945- Manage Integrations: Performance Improvement

This update improves the loading speed of Manage Integrations by loading the entire list of integrations at once. Subsequently, only the integrations selected by the user will load individually. This change optimizes performance by reducing the initial loading time for users when accessing various integrations.

FOCUS-42935- Communication: Suspension Letters Are Printing Incorrect/Old Suspensions -District Wide Issue

This update addresses an issue where printing a letter from a referral, derived from a Communication Platform template, resulted in incorrect information being populated. With this branch, the correct information will now be accurately printed.

FOCUS-42923- Student Groups: Respect "Enable Search Entire School" Setting in Teacher Created Groups

This update corrects an oversight in Student Group visibility for teachers. Previously, teachers could view details of students not scheduled in their sections, regardless of the system preference "Enable search entire school for teachers" setting, by creating a student group from a saved search and viewing the students via Student Groups. Now, the system ensures that teachers can only see information of students who are actually scheduled in their sections when viewing a group they created themselves. This brings the visibility rules in line with intended privacy restrictions and system use protocols.

See Student Groups (Admin) and Groups (Teachers) for details.

FOCUS-42897- Master Schedule Report: Push Changes to Schedule from Inclusion (Florida Only)

This update ensures consistency in the update process for student schedule records when changes are made in the Courses & Sections and Master Schedule Report. Now, the fields for Rotation Days, Minutes, FEFP, Reading Int Comp, and ELL Instructional Model changed via the Inclusion Tab of the Master Schedule Report will update the Student Schedule if their current value is either null or matches the previous value in the section. This change maintains accurate and synchronized data across different scheduling reports. This change is only applicable for customers leveraging Florida State Reporting.

FOCUS-42863- Scheduling: Copy Course Limits Duplicating Scenarios in MSB

This update resolves an issue in the Master Schedule Builder where Course Limits were not being copied during the duplication of a scenario.

FOCUS-42860- Report Card Comments dropdown comments not showing only showing teachers entered comment.

This improvement addresses a scenario in which both the "Pull-Down Comments" and "Force teachers to enter a comment if they override posted grades" system preferences are enabled. Previously, if a teacher changed a grade through Post Final Grades and provided both a pull-down comment and a typed reason, the report card would prioritize the typed reason. With this update, the report card will now prioritize the pull-down comment when printing, ensuring consistency with system preferences.

FOCUS-42852- Ed-Fi - Fix mailing address

This update fixes a problem in the Ed-Fi API where the Mailing address was incorrectly pulling from the Home address values in the StudentEducationOrganizationAssociation. This correction ensures that the Mailing address is accurately represented according to the correct data source.

FOCUS-42842- Choice: Ignore Deleted Contacts when Generating Choice Letters

This update to the Choice Setup Print Letters module improves the accuracy of the contacts listed on generated letters. Previously, the query responsible for retrieving contacts for a student might include those that had been deleted, leading to confusion. This branch update modifies the query to exclude deleted contacts, ensuring that only current and relevant contact information is displayed on the letters.

FOCUS-42818- Addresses & Contacts: New Family Documents Feature

This enhancement introduces a new system field named "Family Documentation" under Address & Contacts. This feature allows organizations to upload documents that can be accessed and shared across families, defined as groups of two or more students connected through Linked Students. To preserve the existing system functionality, this new feature has been disabled by default. It can be activated and made visible to end-users through profile permissions.

See Student Info > Adding a Family Document (admin), Student Info > Viewing Family Documents (teacher), and Child Info/My Information > Viewing Family Documents (parent/student) for more information.

FOCUS-42815- Third Party Services: Remove View Permissions

This update removes the View Only Permission option for Third Party Systems under Profiles, as it previously did not function correctly. This change ensures that user permissions reflect only the functionalities that operate as intended.

See Profiles > Permissions Explained and Third Party Systems > Setting Profile Permissions for more information.

FOCUS-42812- Student Search: Resolve Students Missing From More Search Options Results

This update fixes an issue in the New Search feature where students were being omitted when a date filter was applied to a referral logging field. The fix has been implemented in both the legacy and new processing codes.

FOCUS-42803- School Choice: Only Update letter_date When Email Distributed

This update modifies the process for emailing Choice letters. Previously, if a student did not have a linked user to receive an email, no email would be sent, but the letter_date would still be updated. With this change, the letter_date will only be updated for applications where an email was successfully sent, ensuring that the letter_date accurately reflects the actual communication sent.

FOCUS-42784- Ed-Fi: Improve GraduationPlan and BellSchedule Logic

This update addresses two key issues: Firstly, it resolves a problem where periods were not being correctly imported with a bell schedule that included rotation days. With this fix, periods are now being pulled in as expected. Secondly, the update extends the time frame for importing graduation programs from 6 years to 7 years, allowing for a broader historical data review.

FOCUS-42783- Document Management Help

This update resolves a problem with the Document Management scheduled job that previously prevented it from running due to a 'Another document management job is already running' message. With the latest changes, the job now executes as expected and efficiently processes uploaded files.

FOCUS-42777- Student Info: Individual Sub-Menu Student Audit Trail Profile Permission Enhancements

The latest update introduces individual view-only permissions for each tab on the Student Audit Trail, allowing for customizable access control. User profiles can now be configured to access specific tabs based on their permissions. Additionally, a migration has been implemented to automatically enable all permissions for users who previously had view rights to the audit trail, ensuring a seamless transition to the new system.

See Audit Trail (Students) and Profiles for additional information.

FOCUS-42590- Student Groups: Reintroduce Student Groups for Teachers

This update reintroduces the Group Dropdown Functionality for teachers, enhancing usability and navigation. Additionally, it includes a new feature where group titles displayed in the results screen of a student search are now hyperlinked, making it easier for users to access detailed group information directly from the search results.

See Searching for Students (Teachers); Student Groups (Admin); Searching for Students (Admin); Student Groups (Admin) for details.

FOCUS-42459- New Letter Template Migration Feature

This update introduces a new 'Migrate Letter' button in the Users/Students Print Letters and Send Email sections. Clicking on 'Migrate' will copy all headers and letter text to Communication Templates, streamlining the process of updating communication materials. Additionally, the latest version fixes a display issue for users with view-only access to these sections.

See Print Letters & Send Email (Students), Print Letters & Send Email (Users) and Profiles for more information.

FOCUS-42352- Enrollment: Prevent End-Users Circumventing Enrollment Date Preferences

This update addresses a loophole in the system preferences related to date settings for student enrollment and withdrawal (WD) dates. Previously, refreshing the student enrollment screen allowed users to bypass restrictions set by preferences such as "Allow Users to Back Date WD Dates," "Allow Users to Future Date WD Dates," "Allow Users to Back Date Enrollment Dates," and "Allow Users to Future Date Enrollment Dates," enabling them to select any date. This fix ensures that the system preferences are enforced consistently, even if the enrollment screen is refreshed.

FOCUS-40401- Advanced Report: Display Improvement for Students Enrolled in Multiple Sections for the Same Period

This update enhances the Advanced Report page by allowing it to display all relevant teacher results for a period where a student is enrolled in multiple sections. Previously, if a student was enrolled in more than one section during the same period, the report would only show one teacher for that period. With this change, all associated teachers for that period will be displayed, providing a more comprehensive view of the student's schedule.
