Before the branch if you attempted to click in and click out of the time field on the communication settings the field would turn yellow like a change had been made. With the branch the cell will only turn yellow if a change is actually made.

FOCUS-43649- Class Requests: Display Only Distinct Subject Titles for Duplicate Requests

Previously, on the Student Requests screen in the Parent/Student portal, the course subject title was displayed when a duplicate request was entered. Moving forward, this additional description will only be displayed to the end-user if the subject is different between the duplicated requests. This update ensures that only relevant information is shown, reducing unnecessary duplication.

This update adds four new built-in priorities for the School Choice Module, which customers can leverage in their Priority Charts: -Sibling Anchor School: If one sibling/step-sibling is accepted, the other sibling/step-sibling qualifies for this status if they are applying to the same school, for the same application year, and the same application type (spa/choice/magnet). -Sibling Anchor Program: If one sibling/step-sibling is accepted, the other sibling/step-sibling qualifies for this status if they are applying to the same school, for the same application year, the same application type (spa/choice/magnet), and the same program. -Sibling Anchor: If one sibling/step-sibling is accepted, the other sibling/step-sibling qualifies for this status if they are applying to the same school and the same application year. -Linked Sibling: This works similarly to the existing Sibling Guarantee status but includes both siblings and step-siblings. If the linked student has the same choice for the same program, they qualify for the linked sibling status.

See Setup > System Preferences > List of Default School Preferences and School Preferences > General for details.

FOCUS-43476- Graduation Requirements Report: Correct Semester 2 Marking Period Enrolled Credits Logic

This update fixes an issue in the Graduation Requirements Report where an enrolled Semester 2 marking period course incorrectly displayed full-year credits (e.g., 1 credit) instead of the allotted semester credits (e.g., 0.5 credits). Previously, the report calculated the full-year amount of credits for future courses, which is appropriate for Semester 1 but not for Semester 2, where only two quarters remain. The update ensures that Semester 2 courses are now correctly calculated to show 0.5 credits.

If checked, running the Scheduler from the Student Requests screen will prevent victims and aggressors from being scheduled into the same section if they have the same course request. This enhancement to Students' Schedule Requests ensures that victims and aggressors will not be auto-scheduled into the same course and section when a student is flagged as a victim.

See Students > Student Info > Adding a Victim Entry for more information.

FOCUS-43415- Communication Platform: New Send to Staff Profile Permission

This enhancement adds a new profile permission to Communications called "Send to Staff." This permission determines which Admin and Teacher profiles can message staff in the Communication Platform. To maintain current functionality, this permission will be enabled by default for profiles that previously had access to sending messages through the platform. If this new permission is deselected, the end user will no longer have access to the Staff Pulldown in the Communication Platform. Additionally, when the option is not selected, the message button will be disabled on User Advanced reports, District Reports including the Staff ID, and Teacher Completion Reports for both Attendance and Grades. Staff members can still reply to messages sent to them, but they will not be able to compose or start a new conversation using the Staff Pulldown.

See Communication (Admin), Profiles, Users > Advanced Report, Teacher Completion (Grades), and Teacher Completion (Attendance) for details.

FOCUS-43376- Re-Enrollment Forms: Resolve Previous Year Inactive Students

See Florida Shots Integration for details.

FOCUS-43177- Communication Platform: Apply Partial Templates & Edit Entire Template/Announcement with Edit Template/Announcement Permission

Previously, if a template was shared with a profile that did not have access to one of the communication types, the user could not select any recipients to send the message to. With this update, users can now send messages using the template, and only the communication types they have access to will be used. This ensures that users can send messages without being restricted by unavailable communication types.

FOCUS-43045- Scheduling: Support Rotation Days in Planning Periods

This update enhances Planning Periods by supporting Rotation Days for Teacher Planning Periods. FOCUS-42883- Report Card Comments: Adding "Report Card New Line Length" System Preference

This update introduces a new system preference called "Report Card New Line Length." This preference works with long comments for report cards, restricting how many characters a new line can contain. It helps maintain report cards within a specific page length based on comment size. Additionally, the update corrects an issue to ensure teachers receive an error when attempting to enter a long comment that exceeds the "Max Length for a Comment" system preference.

See System Preferences > Grading tab for details.

FOCUS-42720- Student Info: Clicking "Address & Contacts" No Longer Considered a Record Update

Second, it introduces several modifications to the Service Form in SSS > Caseload and Services > Add a Service/Add Group Service. The Service Date field is now mandatory when saving as a draft or submitting, and it is restricted to disallow the selection of future dates and weekends. Additionally, when the "The student was absent on this day" checkbox is checked, the "Time In" and "Time Out" fields are disabled, the field values are cleared, and the duration is set to 0 minutes and 0 units. The Service Date remains required. Lastly, after setting the default template, when loading a draft from the template, the service date will be checked initially.

See Caseload & Services (admin) and Caseload & Services (teacher) for more information.

FOCUS-42614- SSS: Improve Display of Caseload & Services Service Dates

Previously, if a user saved a caseload service record without the required service date field, the Last Serviced column in SSS > Caseload & Services > 'Caseload' tab would display today's date as the service date. With this update, the Last Serviced column will display no date when there is no service date. If a service is submitted with a blank date, it will default to today's date.
