Previously, even if a user didn't have edit permissions for the Graduation Subject field, they were still able to modify it as long as they had the ability to create a grade record. This update addresses and resolves an issue related to the reenrollment forms in the system. Previously, when groups on the reenrollment forms were hidden, any disabled fields within these groups were not included in the post. This led to certain fields not appearing in the change requests as expected. With the implementation of this branch, the approach to handling these fields has been modified for better functionality.

FOCUS-40925- Proficiency Gradebook: Maintain Linked Standards when Modifying Teacher on Section

This update resolves a notable issue in sections using proficiency gradebooks. Previously, changing the teacher for such a section caused standards linked to grades to become unlinked, affecting their inclusion in the proficiency gradebook. This fix ensures that standards remain properly linked.

FOCUS-40924- Communication Platform: Improved Sorting for Sent & Inbox

This update brings an important improvement to the sorting functionality of the Inbox and Sent box within the Communication Platform. Prior to this branch, the sorting order could be disrupted if a record of a message sent to a parent was updated, mistakenly pushing it to the top of the list regardless of its actual recency. With this correction, the sorting logic has been refined to ensure that messages are accurately ordered according to their actual send times.

FOCUS-40920- Teacher Completion Report: Use Selected Date vs. Current Date for Take Attendance through Report

This update addresses an issue encountered in the transition from the Teacher Completion module to the Take Attendance module. Previously, users were met with an error stating, "You cannot take attendance for since the period does not have a start time." This error was occurring because the system was incorrectly considering the current date instead of the selected date.

FOCUS-40918- Communication Platform: Migration to Fill Template Created By & List Pagination

This update to the Communication Platform addresses two key areas. First, it resolves the issue of unattributed templates by assigning authors to all existing templates, enhancing clarity and organization. Second, it introduces pagination to both templates and announcements, significantly improving navigation.

FOCUS-40901- Mobile Application: Remove Barcode Feature on Non-Supported Devices

Previously, the barcode scanning icon was visible across all devices, despite the functionality being exclusive to Focus-provided handheld devices. With this branch, the barcode icon will now only appear on supported devices.

FOCUS-40897- Print Assignment Grades: Better HTML Formatting

This update addresses a technical issue encountered when printing assignment grades involving student notes with formatted text. Previously, HTML tags from formatted text in student notes were visibly appearing in the PDF output. This change ensures that any HTML formatting is appropriately handled.

FOCUS-40889- Communication Platform: Better Handling of Insert Field Formatting

This update resolves a formatting issue in the Communication Platform related to Insert Fields. Prior to this branch, when using Insert Fields in messages, fields with titles containing a slash character ("/") were not formatted correctly upon saving. This branch corrects this inconsistency, ensuring that all Insert Fields, regardless of character content in their titles, are now uniformly formatted.

FOCUS-40882- System Preferences : Some SSO options are not selectable

This update addresses an issue within the 'Add a Single Sign-On Profile' functionality. Previously, users encountered a problem where some options were not selectable when attempting to add a single sign-on (SSO) profile. With this branch, all options are now fully accessible.

FOCUS-40868- Attendance Kiosks: Allow Kiosk Entries Multiple Sections Scheduled into Same Period

This branch improves the functionality of Attendance Kiosks for cases where a student is enrolled in two first period sections but only one section requires attendance. Previously, the Kiosk was unable to create separate attendance records for each section in such scenarios.

FOCUS-40866- Communication Platform: Better Handling of Half-Day Attendance Messages

This update addresses a specific scenario in Attendance Messaging within the Communication Platform, particularly concerning students with half-day attendance records. Prior to this branch, students marked for half-day attendance would still receive full-day attendance calls. The branch introduces a new option specifically for half-day attendance. This option becomes available when a school, selected in the top right, calculates attendance by minutes and the minutes for half-day presence are less than those for a full day. With this change, attendance calls for half-day attendance are only made when this new option is enabled.

FOCUS-40687- Select Student/Staff Quick Pick: Update Options Switching Between Teacher/Admin Profiles

This branch addresses a previously encountered issue affecting teachers who also possess administrative profiles. In the past, when such users toggled between their teacher and administrative profiles during a session, the "Select Student/Staff Quick Pick" feature failed to accurately display both student and staff search results. With this update, the functionality has been corrected

FOCUS-40673- Graduation Requirements Report: Update Biliteracy Gold Requirements for FAST Tests.

This branch incorporates a new requirement set by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) regarding the Biliteracy Gold designation within the Graduation Requirements Report. Now, achieving a passing score on a FAST ELA test will contribute towards satisfying the FSA ELA Requirement of scoring 4 or higher.

FOCUS-40663- Community Mobile App: Restrict Search to Selected School

This branch addresses a functionality issue in the Community Mobile App, specifically concerning the student search feature. Previously, when users searched for students in the app, the results were not being appropriately limited to the currently selected school. This update ensures that the search results are now correctly filtered.

This update includes a significant improvement to the Gradebook Preferences within the system. A new constraint has been introduced to prevent the entry of duplicate settings into the Program User Config. FOCUS-40812- SSS: Exclude Inactive/Locked Events from Bulk PMP Lookup

This update enhances the functionality for customers using the MTSS Program in the Special Student Services (SSS) module. Previously, if a student had a locked or inactive event previously created through Bulk PMP, new PMP events couldn't be created using the same criteria due to a 'student exempt' message. Now, inactive or locked events are excluded from Bulk PMP triggers, enabling users to create new PMP Events for students who meet the specified criteria. This ensures more efficient management of student progress monitoring plans.

FOCUS-38223- SSS: New Features for Parents in Community Mobile App

This new feature enhancement is specifically tailored for parents using the Community Mobile App to interact with the SSS system. Parents now have the added convenience of accessing PDF versions of locked SSS events directly from their mobile devices, ensuring they can review important information on the go. Moreover, the update also introduces the ability for parents to effortlessly sign SSS forms right within the app. This not only streamlines the process but also reinforces the commitment to making the Community Mobile App a one-stop platform for parents to manage their child's educational needs.

FOCUS-40746- CTE: New "Only Use Section Seat Count on Classes for Sale" Option

This update introduces a new system preference in the Default School Preferences under the Scheduling section, titled Only Use Section Seat Count on Classes for Sale. When activated, this preference ensures that the seat count for classes listed for sale will be exclusively determined by the seat count configured in the corresponding section. Consequently, the option to manually adjust the number of seats while adding a class to the sale list will be disabled. If a user does not specify a seat count when adding a section to Classes for Sale, the system will default to using the section's pre-configured seat count, maintaining consistency and streamlining the process.
