FOCUS-46784- feat(budget): update True Balance Report printed header

This system enhancement introduces a new heading to the printed version of the True Balance Report. The True Balance Report can be found in the Budgeting/General Ledger menu, specifically as one of the tabs on the Internal Account Activity Report screen. The new heading will also display the selected date range for the report.

FOCUS-46716- feat(fixed-assets): make asset conditions configurable

This system enhancement introduces the capability to configure asset conditions within the Fixed Assets module. A new "Conditions" tab will be incorporated into the Maintenance screen. It allows the district to define asset conditions. Additionally, a new dropdown field titled "Asset Condition" will be available on the current asset screen and the Take Inventory screen, allowing users to select from the configured options.

FOCUS-46869- CR - Add Begin/End Dates to Position Control

This system enhancement adds "Begin" and "End" dates to the position control screen. The dates will prevent employees from being added with a job start date before the "Begin" date or a start date after the specified "End" date attached to the position.

FOCUS-46846- Expired account strips in view only section

This system enhancement introduces a new data table for expired allocations on both the Employee Jobs screen and the Position Control screen. If the job has an allocation with an expired element, it will be displayed in a view only section.

This system enhancement introduces new columns to Payroll > W2 Reporting report, which will display the totals from box 14 on each employee's W2 form. The newly added columns are labeled "Section 125" and "Retirement."

FOCUS-46487- App Tracking | Insurance override

This system enhancement introduces a checkbox in the job posting setup. Human Resources will have the option to check or uncheck this box when creating a job listing. This flag will be visible on the Employee Action Form once an applicant accepts the position, allowing Payroll employees to determine whether the position should incorporate an Insurance Override Allocation.

FOCUS-46253- Employee Requests | Add profile perms for types + general upgrades

This system enhancement brings several new features to the Employee Self Service (ESS):

  • A new setup option that enables districts to manage which requests are displayed under Human Resources > View ESS.
  • The label "Dis-Allow Date Spanning Leave Requests" has been updated to "Prevent Date Spanning Leave Requests" for improved clarity in Setup > Setting > Employee Self Service.
  • Expanded profile permissions for employee requests in ESS, now categorized by request type.
  • Profile permissions for ESS are accessible in both SIS and ERP.

This update enhances the Student/User Audit Trails by improving the display of JSON-type fields. The updated format ensures that these fields are presented more clearly and are easier to read and interpret.

FOCUS-46936- Gradebook: Totals Tab Show Overall Grade to Two Decimal Places

This update enhances the Teacher Gradebook by refining the display of grades in the Totals tab. Grades are now shown to two decimal places, providing greater precision and consistency in grade reporting.

FOCUS-46922- Proficiency Gradebook: Expand All Standards by Default in Student View

This update improves the display of grades from a proficiency Gradebook for teachers, parents, and students. Previously, users had to manually expand each standard to view all assignments. With this update, standards are now expanded by default for parents and students, allowing for easier access to assignment details. Users still have the option to collapse the standards if desired.

FOCUS-46913- Parents/Student Portal: New View Teacher Photo Permission on Student Schedule

This update adds a new permission for students and parents called "View Teachers Photos" under class schedules. This permission is initially disabled to maintain current functionality. When enabled, students and parents will be able to see their teachers' photos while viewing class schedules.

FOCUS-46912- Attendance Thresholds: Prevent Non-Numeric Characters in Custom Days

This update resolves an issue in the Attendance Thresholds table where non-numeric characters could be entered into the Timeframe Days cell. With this update, an error message will now appear if an attempt is made to save "Custom Days" with either an empty value or a non-whole number value, ensuring data integrity and proper functionality.

FOCUS-46910- Discipline: Resolve Clicking Advanced Search with Student in Session in Positive Behavior Awards

This update resolves an issue in Discipline, Positive Behavior Awards where end-users encountered a blank page when clicking Advanced Search with a student selected in their session. With this update, clicking Advanced Search automatically removes the student from the session, allowing the page to display correctly as expected.

FOCUS-46908- Communication Platform: New Option to Include Parents in Class Announcements

This update introduces a new option in the Communication Platform for Classroom Announcements. A setting called "Include Parents" has been added, allowing announcements to be visible to both the parents of students in the class and the students themselves. This setting is unchecked by default to maintain current functionality, giving users the flexibility to enable it as needed.

FOCUS-46900- Teacher Gradebook: Allow Inputing Decimals for Percent Grades

This update improves the Teacher Gradebook by increasing the character limit for entering grades by percent. Previously, teachers were limited to three characters, preventing entries like 75.25. With this update, the character limit has been expanded to five, allowing grades such as 75.25 to be entered and saved without issue.

FOCUS-46895- Transcripts: New "Graduation Requirements Report Credits/GPA Header" Transcript Option

This update introduces a new Transcript Option called "Graduation Requirements Report Credits/GPA Header," nested under "Graduation Requirements Report." When "Graduation Requirements Report" is selected but "Graduation Requirements Report Credits/GPA Header" is not, the student's GPA, Class Rank, Credits, and Cohort Year will be excluded from the Graduation Requirements header section of the Transcript. This provides greater flexibility in customizing the information displayed on the Transcript.

This update resolves an issue with the "Choice Application Submitted By" and "Choice Application Submitted By Email" insert fields within the Communication Platform. Previously, these fields did not reliably populate in notifications sent after a parent completed a Choice Application. With this update, the appropriate values are now correctly included in the email body, ensuring accurate and consistent communication.

FOCUS-46884- Application Editor: Resolve Display of Images in "Customize Last Page" Setting

This update resolves a display issue with images added to the "Customize Last Page" setting in the Application Editor. With this update, images now display correctly when completing an Online Application, ensuring a consistent and accurate user experience.

FOCUS-46878- Parent Registration: New System Preference to Display Custom Message on /Auth

This update introduces a new feature for Parent Registration, adding a System Preference titled "Display additional text on User Registration Page" to Default System Preferences under Parent Registration. Administrators can enter a custom message in the provided text box, and this message will be displayed to end-users on the Parent Registration page at /auth, appearing before the section where users enter their name, email, and create a password. This feature provides greater flexibility for adding instructional or informational text to the registration process.

FOCUS-46857- Communication Platform: Poll Bar Graph Results Can Be Hidden After Switching to Pie Chart

This update improves the Communication Platform expansion for Polls and Signups by addressing an issue with the bar graph displaying poll results. Previously, if neither bar in the graph reached the top, switching from the bar graph to the pie graph and back again caused the results to disappear. With this update, the results remain visible when toggling between graph types, ensuring consistent and reliable display functionality.

FOCUS-46807- Communication Platform: New Message Feature on Teacher Schedules Report

This enhancement adds a Message button to the top of the Teacher Schedules Report. When clicked, the end-user is directed to the Communication Platform Compose screen, with the list of teachers from the report automatically prepopulated as the recipients, streamlining the communication process.

This update resolves an issue with the Students with Inclusion Report where clicking on a Student ID on any page beyond the first would redirect the user back to the first page of the report. With this update, clicking on a Student ID now correctly navigates the user to the student's information page as expected, improving usability and navigation.

FOCUS-46776- Edit Rules & Workflow: Ensure Alert Icons Involving Student Enrollment Criteria Display on the Student in the Session

This update ensures that Alert Icons with criteria involving Student Enrollment-related fields display correctly in the session after a student is selected using the Quick Pick Select Student/Staff feature. This improvement resolves any inconsistencies and ensures alert functionality works as expected in these scenarios.

FOCUS-46767- Communication Platform: Portal Message with Wide Table Expanding Portal Block

This update improves the Communication Platform by addressing an issue with Portal Messages for Announcements. Previously, if a table within a message had a wide width set, it would expand the width of the Portal Block, distorting the layout. With this update, tables in Portal Messages no longer affect the Portal Block width, ensuring the Portal layout remains intact and visually consistent.

FOCUS-46754- Communication: Allow Students to Reply to Teachers They are not Scheduled With

This update enhances the messaging logic to improve communication flexibility. Previously, only parents and teachers currently scheduled together could reply to conversations. Now, students and parents can continue conversations with teachers if:

  • They are enrolled at the same school as the teacher.
  • The conversation is not archived.
  • The teacher has participated in the conversation during the current school year.

This update ensures ongoing engagement while maintaining relevant communication boundaries.

FOCUS-46748- Imports: Exclude Students with Negative Student IDs in Student Match

This update improves the Imports feature by refining the student matching process. Previously, if a student existed in both the applicant's school with a negative ID and in a regular school with a normal ID, the import would fail due to multiple matches. With this update, negative student IDs are ignored during the matching process, ensuring successful imports without errors.

FOCUS-46741- Scheduling: Ensure Invalid Teachers Cannot be Set in Co-Teacher Fields in the Master Schedule Report

This update resolves an issue in the Master Schedule Report where invalid teachers were selectable in the Co-Teacher fields. With this update, end-users can no longer update a Co-Teacher value to an invalid teacher. However, if an invalid teacher was previously set, it will still display in the report for reference.

FOCUS-46733- Hall Pass: New Auto End Pass when Marked Present Feature

This update introduces an exciting enhancement to the Hall Pass Module with the addition of an automatic end feature for active Hall Passes. Now, if a student is marked present for attendance while they have an active Hall Pass, the Hall Pass will automatically end. For example, if a student has a Hall Pass to the library during 2nd period but attends 3rd period without ending their pass, the Hall Pass will automatically end as soon as the teacher marks them present for 3rd period. The Hall Pass will include a timestamp indicating when it ended based on the teacher's attendance record. Additionally, a note will populate in the notes column on the inactive tab stating: "Hall Pass auto ended. Marked present by... (teacher's name)." This feature is optional and will only be enabled if the System Preference "Enable Auto End Hall Passes" is checked.

FOCUS-46723- More Search Options: New Inactive Options for This/Last Year in 'Scheduled into Courses' Widget

This update enhances the Student Info search screen by improving the functionality of the More Search Options feature. Previously, selecting "Include Inactive," "Scheduled into Course(s)," and a course that ended before the selected year would yield no results because students dropped from the course before the year ended were excluded. This update introduces two new options to the year selector: "This Year Inactive" and "Last Year Inactive." These options bypass the checks for active enrollment or scheduling in the selected course, allowing searches to return valid results for all inactive students who were previously enrolled in the course. This enhancement provides greater flexibility in retrieving historical enrollment data.

FOCUS-46722- Attendance: Display Correct Schools for All Students in Print Absence Summary

This update resolves an issue with the Print Absence Summary feature where the header for each student incorrectly displayed the school selected in the Top Right menu instead of the school they were actually enrolled in. With this update, the header now accurately reflects each student's enrolled school, ensuring correct information is displayed.

FOCUS-46695- Grades: Allow Electronic Grade Changes to Custom Fields without Changing Grade

This update enhances the Electronic Grade Change feature by expanding its functionality. Previously, grade changes were only allowed if the student's grade itself was modified. With this update, changes to custom fields associated with grades can now be made without altering the student's grade, providing greater flexibility in managing grade-related information.

FOCUS-46642- Test History: Restore Saving Test History Records by Clicking Enter

This update restores functionality on the student's Test History screen, allowing end-users to save a newly added Test History administration by pressing the Enter key on their keyboard. Previously, users were required to click the Save button to complete the action. With this update, users now have the flexibility to save using either the Enter key or the Save button, improving convenience and efficiency.

FOCUS-46620- Student Info: New Student View Quick Link & School on Linked Students

This update enhances the functionality of Linked Students displayed on the Address & Contacts section within Student Information. A new School column has been added to the datatable, showing the currently enrolled school for each Linked Student. Additionally, a new View Student Info quick link has been introduced. When clicked, and if the end-user has the appropriate permissions, it directs the user to the Student Info page for the Linked Sibling, providing quicker access and more detailed information.

FOCUS-46601- Grad. Req. Report: Improve ROTC Waiver Behavior Meeting Personal Fitness (FL)

This update improves the Graduation Requirements Report for Florida customers by addressing an issue with ROTC courses meeting the Personal Fitness requirement. Previously, if course 1500480 was in a student's course history, it would default to PE if a PA course was not available, leaving the Personal Fitness requirement unmet. With this update, if PA is not a viable option, the system will correctly apply the course to the Personal Fitness requirement based on the selected option in the system preferences, ensuring proper fulfillment of graduation requirements.

FOCUS-46574- User Info: Improved User More Search Options, Including New School Search Option

This enhancement introduces significant improvements to the User More Search Options feature, including a new School Search option. The update divides the previous "Name, Username & Profile" option into two distinct options: "Name & Username" and "Profile & Schools." The functionality for "Name," "Username," and "Profile" remains unchanged, while the new "Schools" option in User Search offers enhanced behavior.

When "Search All Schools" is selected and no specific schools are chosen in the "Profile & Schools" widget, results are based on the user's permissions for schools within the district, maintaining current functionality. If specific schools are selected, results are filtered by both the user's permissions and the selected schools.

If "Search All Schools" is not selected and no schools are specified in the widget, results default to the school selected in the Top Right menu, also maintaining existing functionality. If "Search All Schools" is not selected but schools are chosen in the widget, results include users who are associated with both the Top Right school and one of the selected schools in the widget. These enhancements provide greater flexibility and precision in user searches.

FOCUS-46549- School Choice: Translate Application Title

This update enhances the School Choice Module by introducing API Translations for custom choice application titles. With this improvement, custom titles are now translated into the language selected by the parent in their My Preferences, ensuring a more user-friendly and accessible experience for non-English-speaking users.

FOCUS-46515- More Search Options: Restrict Access to Honor Roll Search Option by Access to Honor Roll Report

This update modifies access to the Honor Roll option in More Search Options. Previously, access to this search option was tied to the end-user's profile permission to view student grades. With this update, access is now controlled by the end-user's permission to access the Honor Roll Report, providing more precise and relevant access management.

FOCUS-46468- Parent Portal: Translate Re-Enrollment Forms Titles

This update ensures that Re-Enrollment forms marked as Available on the Parent or Student Portal are now included in the Translations API. When a parent or student sets their language preference to a non-English value through My Preferences, the titles of these Re-Enrollment forms will appear in the selected language, enhancing accessibility and user experience.

FOCUS-46466- Find a Student Portal Block: Remove 'Search All Schools' Checkbox When Filtering by Absences

This update improves the functionality of the Find a Student/User Portal Block when selecting Absences as the destination. Previously, using the Search All Schools option with Absences as the destination returned inconsistent results, as the Absence Summary is school-specific. To avoid confusion, the Search All Schools option will no longer be available when Absences is set as the destination, ensuring clarity and accurate results.

FOCUS-46431- Print ID Badges: Improve Layout of QR Codes in Badges when Alert Icons Included

This update enhances the layout of Student ID Badges when both QR Code and Alert Icons are used. With this improvement, the secondary QR Code at the bottom of the badge is removed, ensuring that all contents fit neatly on one side of the badge. This streamlined layout provides a more organized and functional design.

FOCUS-46425- System Preferences: Enhance Section Number Formatting Options in Scheduling Preferences

This enhancement updates the Scheduling system preference titled "Limit Section Num to" by replacing the checkbox with a dropdown menu featuring three options: "Alphanumeric," "Numbers & Dash," and "N/A."

Details for each option:

  • Alphanumeric: Restricts section numbers to A-Z, a-z, and 0-9 only.
  • Numbers & Dash: Allows the use of numbers and dashes.
  • N/A: Maintains the current functionality, permitting A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and special characters.

A migration is included to ensure that existing settings for Alphanumeric and N/A are accurately preserved and applied during the transition. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and control over section numbering conventions.

FOCUS-46396- Custom Fields: New Import Option for Select One & Select Multiple Fields

This update introduces a new "Import" button for Custom Field Select Options, streamlining the management and updating of Select One and Select Multiple field options. Users can now import options directly from a CSV file, which may include values for Code, Label, Sort Order, Min Year, and Max Year. The file must contain a header row for proper processing. This enhancement simplifies the process of configuring select options for custom fields.

FOCUS-46304- Communication Platform: New Scheduled Messages Report

This update enhances the Communication Platform by adding a new "Scheduled Messages" tab to the Communication Report. This tab is accessible to all users with permission to view the Communication Report and displays a list of their active scheduled messages. Users with "View All" permissions are provided with an additional "View All" button, allowing them to view active scheduled messages created by users at schools they have permission to access. The Scheduled Messages report includes criteria such as an Active Window (Start Date and End Date) and a User filter, available for users with "View All" permissions. The report displays key details in columns, including Start Date, Send Time, Recursion (One Time, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annually), Next Send Date (blank if the End Date precedes the next send date), End Date, and Created By (Last, First M with Staff ID). It also lists the Type of message as a concatenated list of delivery methods (e.g., Email, SMS, Call) and includes an Emergency column, displaying a checkbox for messages marked as Emergency. This feature provides enhanced visibility and management of scheduled communications with detailed and flexible reporting options.

FOCUS-46153- Advanced Report: Prevent Duplicate Results with "Include Students without Log Records" Checked

This update corrects an issue in Advanced Reports. Previously, when the "Include Students without Log Records" option was selected, report results could appear duplicated. With this update, the issue is resolved, ensuring that the report displays accurate and unduplicated results.

FOCUS-45808- New Portal Published Reports Functionality

This update introduces a new "Portal Published Reports" page, allowing users to configure reports for display in the Parent/Student Portal under the Reports tab. This screen offers flexibility to define new report types, map them to students using identifiers, and control their availability. With this feature, districts can provide students and parents with easy access to important documents directly from the Portal. On this page, users can set the following configurations:

  • Title: The text displayed on the portal link for students/parents.
  • Sample Filename: Defines the expected format of associated filenames.
  • Filename RegEx: Allows users to specify the RegEx pattern for matching uploaded files to students.
  • Student ID Format: Enables selection of the ID used for matching (e.g., Student ID, FLEID, or Florida Student Number).
  • School Year: Dropdown to select the applicable school year for the mapping.
  • Published Checkbox: Determines whether the report is visible to students/parents.
  • File Upload Field: Supports uploading individual PDFs or zipped files containing multiple PDFs, which are stored and mapped to students.

The update includes a migration that adds existing test score reports to the 2024-2025 school year. Legacy setups remain functional, allowing files to continue being uploaded via SFTP to the correct folder, which will be processed as before. Additionally, legacy reports can now also be uploaded directly to the "Portal Published Reports" page for easier management. Newly configured reports will rely exclusively on uploads to this new page.

FOCUS-45676 - Assessments: Improvements to FAST Report (Florida)

This update includes several improvements to the FAST report under the Assessments menu for Florida customers. The branch adjusts the report to:

  • Include End of Course (EOC) exams.
  • Allow setting a decimal for the low percentile cutoff in System Preferences via a new option, “FAST Report Low Percentile.”
  • Exclude students who have withdrawn from the district.

These enhancements ensure more accurate reporting and greater flexibility in configuring the low percentile thresholds.​

With this update, the step is correctly marked as completed with a green checkmark once the supplemental form is filled out and saved, ensuring accurate progress tracking.

FOCUS-46896- SSS: Allow Progress Monitoring to Display Both Amended & Original IEP Progress Records

This update improves the SSS module by addressing an issue with the Progress Monitoring event, which previously did not retain past data from IEP or Amended IEP events. With this update, Progress Monitoring now displays both amended and original IEP progress records as expected, ensuring a complete and accurate view of historical progress data.

FOCUS-46507- SSS: Make IEP Goals Required in Caseload & Services > Groups

This update enhances the SSS module by adding support for making IEP Goals a required dropdown in Group Services when the "Caseload & Services - Add Service: Require IEP Goals" setting in SSS > General is enabled. IEP Goals are student-specific, so in a group setting, if some students do not have any IEP Goals available in their dropdown, the dropdown will not be required for those students. This ensures flexibility while maintaining compliance with the configured requirement for applicable students.

This update enhances the SSS module by adding a Concurrent column to the printout of the IEP's Schedule of Services step, specifically under Related Services. If the Concurrent option is enabled, the column displays a checkmark to indicate concurrent minutes. If Concurrent is not checked, the column still appears in the printout but without a checkmark, ensuring clarity in the representation of service details.

FOCUS-46234- SSS: Remove Display of Filtered Options in PMPs When No Tier Level Selected

This update refines the display of Hypothesis, Progress Monitoring Tool, and Strategy options on PMPs to improve relevance and clarity. Previously, these options were displayed regardless of the selected content area or tier. With this update, the options shown are dynamically filtered based on the combination of content area and tier selected:

  • If no content area or tier is selected, no options are displayed.
  • If a content area is selected without a tier, no options are displayed.
  • If a tier is selected without a content area, all options linked to that tier are displayed.
  • If both a content area and tier are selected, only options linked to both are displayed.

This enhancement ensures that only applicable options are presented, streamlining the selection process and improving usability.

FOCUS-45804- SSS: Improve Student ID Hyperlink Functionality in Task List

This update improves the SSS module by addressing an issue with the Task List. Previously, clicking on a student number in the Task List would fail to open the student's information correctly if the student was enrolled in a different school than the one selected in the top-right menu. With this update, clicking the link automatically updates the top-right school selection, ensuring the student's information is displayed properly in the new tab.

FOCUS-45260- SSS: Files Included in Uploads Step in SSS Events not Viewable when Published

This update improves the SSS module by addressing an issue with the Uploads step in SSS Events. Previously, files uploaded in this step and published to the Parent Portal could not be viewed by users. With this update, uploaded documents are now accessible and can be viewed as expected on the Parent Portal, enhancing usability and communication.
