FOCUS-47015- feat(accounts-payable): add Use Type to p-cards

This system enhancement adds a "Use Type" field to P Card in Setup > Bank Accounts page. Exported records will include this "Use Type" data in the CSV file. When creating P Card purchase orders, manually or via upload, the "Use Type" information will populate in the "Comments for Vendors" box.

FOCUS-46623- feat (billing) - before and after care tax statement

This system enhancement introduces tax statements that display transactions related to products or fees classified as 1098T eligible. Administrators can enable the "Before/After Care Tax Statement" report through a specific profile permission located in the Billing section. This report is easily accessible from the billing menu. Additionally, parents have the option to view the tax statement via the parent portal, thanks to a dedicated profile permission.

FOCUS-47456- Position Control add a button to view all employees that worked in the position

System enhancement adding a View All Employees option in Human Resources > Position Control > View Position.

FOCUS-47428- Payroll | Random Deleted leave

This system improvement allows for payroll users to know about leave requests entered for dates after an employee is terminated and resolve it before payroll is finalized. An error appears once a payroll run is calculated.

FOCUS-47302- FW: Employee Self Service - View Paystubs and Pay History

System enhancement for Contribution Only Checks in Human Resources > View ESS > View Paystubs and Pay History. A system setting added: Setup > Settings > Payroll > Paystub Options > Display 'Contribution Only' transactions on View. This is enabled by default and when set to No the Contribution Only checks will no longer show.

FOCUS-47268- Employee Name and EIN to be included on all Employee printouts

This system improvement will place the employee name and local employee identification number on all employee printouts.

FOCUS-47185- Date Confirm On ACH Download

System enhancement to Payroll > Print Checks > ACH/Manual tab adding date validation to the download feature. With this feature there is a new column added called Effective Date.

FOCUS-46676- Add additional Insufficient Earnings (Arrears) type to deductions

System improvement to Insufficient Earnings in Payroll > Deductions adding Arrears options. There is also a new Deduction Arrears option in the Run Payroll > Adjustments.

FOCUS-47519- Rollover: Resolve Error Rolling Attendance Codes

This update resolves an issue with Rollover related to Attendance Codes. The issue occurred due to another table in a different schema sharing the same name, attendance_codes, which caused conflicts during the rollover process. This update corrects the issue, ensuring proper handling of attendance codes.

FOCUS-47472- EWS: Exclude Merged Referrals from Current Year Num Referrals Column (FL)

This update improves the Early Warning System (EWS) Report for Florida customers by ensuring consistency in referral counts. A new condition has been added to exclude merged referrals from the Current Year Num Referrals column total. Since the discipline extract already excludes merged referrals, this update aligns the EWS report with that behavior, ensuring accurate reporting.

FOCUS-47469- Teacher Schedule: Co-Teaching Section Displayed without Co-Teacher Section

This update resolves an issue on the Teacher Schedule page where the "Classes this teacher is co-teaching" section was incorrectly displaying for teachers who only had inclusion classes and no co-teaching assignments. Previously, this section mirrored the inclusion classes when it should not have appeared. With this update, the co-teaching section will only display when applicable.

FOCUS-47467- Online Application: Additional Contacts Form Cannot be Removed

This update resolves an issue in the application process where clicking the Add New Contact button and then attempting to close the form had no effect. With this update, users can now properly close the additional contact form as expected.

FOCUS-47432- Student/User Search: Remove SSN as Option in Customized Lists

This update enhances security by preventing end-users from selecting the SSN field in Customized Lists, even if they have access to it. This change ensures better protection of sensitive information while maintaining user permissions. This applies to both Student and User searches.

FOCUS-47419- Post Final Grades: Respect Blank Exam Score Treatment Setting for Double Blocked Scenarios

This update corrects an issue with the Blank Exam Score Treatment setting in Grade Posting Averaging schemes. Previously, when the Double Block setting was in use, Post Final Grades did not generate an Incomplete as expected. This update ensures that Incomplete grades are properly assigned when applicable.

FOCUS-47410- Communication Platform: Improve Custom Field Translations in Templates

This update resolves an issue in the Communication Platform where custom field select options in templates were not being translated through the API. This fix ensures that translations are properly applied as expected.

FOCUS-47404- Improvements to Test History Search with Most Recent Administration & Test Part Filters

This update improves search functionality when filtering by Test History records. When using the "Only the Most Recent Administration" option in combination with the "Test Part" filter, the system now ensures that the displayed results come from the most recent test administration that includes a score for one of the selected test parts.

FOCUS-47395- Scheduling Requests: Improvements to "Do Not Schedule" Requests on Requests Report and Student Request Screen

This enhancement improves the Requests Reports by ensuring that student requests marked as "Do Not Schedule" are excluded from the following areas:

• The top of the Student Requests screen
• Scheduling Request Reports: Students with Too Many Requests
• Scheduling Request Reports: Students with Too Few Requests
• Scheduling Request Reports: Requests by Course

Additionally, a new report, "Do Not Schedule Requests," has been added to Scheduling Request Reports to provide better tracking of these requests.

FOCUS-47377- Student Summary: Linked Students Showing Wrong School

This update corrects an issue with the Linked Students section of the Address and Contacts screen. Previously, if a linked student had multiple enrollment records, a non-primary school could be displayed as the enrollment school. This update ensures that the student's primary enrollment record is correctly displayed.

FOCUS-47362- Communication Platform: Resolve Messaging Current Teachers in Student Final Grades

This update modifies the "Message All Current Teachers" button in Course History (Final Grades, GPA & Class Rank). Previously, when selecting "All Schools" or "All Years," the button would direct the user to message all teachers listed, even if the student was no longer enrolled in their classes. With this update, the button will now only include the student's current teachers, regardless of the selected filters.

FOCUS-47344- Portal Page: Improve Portal Page Display on Mobile Devices

This update improves the portal page display on mobile devices for teachers and administrators. Previously, portal blocks appeared the same as on a computer, requiring users to scroll horizontally to view all content. With this update, portal blocks will stack vertically when the window width is 900 pixels or less, eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling. For students and parents, portal blocks will continue to stack at 1280 pixels, and the option to toggle between the menu and the portal will still appear at 770 pixels and lower. This update has been tested on Chrome, DuckDuckGo, and Safari.

FOCUS-47332- Scheduling: Improve Course Catalog Mass Updating Performance

This update resolves an issue with mass updating records in the Course Catalog. Previously, when attempting to mass update records spanning more than six pages, the save process would not complete. This update corrects the issue, ensuring all selected records are properly updated.

FOCUS-47330- Student Search: Implements Unaccent - Allowing Search Regardless of Accents

This update improves the student search functionality in Focus. Previously, students with accented characters in their names may not have appeared in search results. This update implements unaccented search capabilities, ensuring students can be found regardless of accents in their names.

FOCUS-47325- Community Mobile App: Enforce Positive Behavior Increment Limits

This branch improves the Community Mobile App when adding Positive Behaviors. Previously, if a user increment was set for a positive behavior, the mobile app allowed users to exceed the specified increment by repeatedly clicking the "+" button. With this update, users can only award up to the designated increment, ensuring consistency with the desktop version. Additionally, the ability to manually enter the number of badges on the app has been removed, aligning it with the desktop functionality, which requires the use of the "+" button.

FOCUS-47241- School Choice Report: Resolve Parents not Listed in Verify Siblings Modal

This update resolves an issue where the Parents block was not displayed in the Verify Siblings modal window on the School Choice Report. The issue occurred when no students enrolled in the program's school for the given school year were found. With this update, the list of parents (determined by students_join_people matches) is now independent of the "Students in Applying Program" list, ensuring that parent information is always displayed correctly.

FOCUS-47225- Custom Fields: New Clear on Non-Prod Option Flag

This branch enhances security by introducing a new Clear on Non-Prod flag for custom fields. This flag should be applied to fields containing PII or other sensitive data. When enabled, the field's contents will be cleared during non-production site refreshes if the Scramble or Scramble Harder method is used.

FOCUS-47197- Scheduling: Enhancement to Student Requests View for Alternate Courses

To enhance clarity, two new columns, Alternate Course and Alternate Course Num, have been added to the Requests Report > Student Request list, allowing users to easily distinguish between primary and alternate course selections.

FOCUS-47188- Scheduling: Ensure Highly Qualified Status Fields Are Greyed Out on Co-Teacher's Master Schedule Report

This branch ensures that when the preference "Automatically determine Highly Qualified status for class sections" is enabled, the "Highly Qualified" and "Cert/Licensure/Qual Status" fields are correctly greyed out on the Co-Teacher's Master Schedule Report. Previously, this functionality was applied to the Master Schedule Report for Sections and Courses & Sections but was not reflected on the Co-Teacher's report. This update resolves that inconsistency.

This branch resolves an issue where the School Year column was not available in Mass Add Log Records. With this update, the column now displays as expected.

FOCUS-47138- Scheduling: Resolve Issue Loading Planning Periods with Weekday Rotation

This branch resolves an error in the Scheduling module that occurred when using the Scheduling Planning Periods feature with the "Advanced Rotation" system preference set to "Weekday." This update corrects the issue to ensure proper functionality.

FOCUS-47131- Print ID Badges: Resolve Missing Alert Icons on ID Badges for Dual Enrolled Students

This branch resolves an issue in Print ID Badges where alert icons were not displaying for students who are dual enrolled. The update ensures that the record associated with the student's current school is prioritized in the query results, allowing the correct alerts to appear on the printed ID badges.

FOCUS-47113- School Choice: Locked Reasons for Accepted Choice Records Enhancement

This branch introduces a new "Locked" column in School Choice Setup > Reasons. When a reason marked as Locked is assigned to a student's Accepted choice record, parents will be unable to cancel the assignment through the Parent Portal, even if the "Allow parents to cancel accepted choice records preference" is enabled. This enhancement provides greater administrative control over specific choice assignments that should not be canceled by parents.

This update improves the Average Daily Attendance Report - By Teacher by resolving a calculation issue with the Hours ADA Total. The report now calculates the Hours ADA Total accurately, ensuring reliable and correct data.

FOCUS-46889- Translations: Automatic Translation of Report Card Comments

This branch enhances the translation process for teacher comments in Report Card Comments. Previously, translation records were only created when a multilingual standard report card was generated, requiring manual translation input. Now, translation records will be automatically created and translated via API as soon as comments are added, ensuring immediate availability in the student's language. This process applies only to the student's designated language and will not be translated into additional languages by the scheduled job.

FOCUS-46799- Re-Enrollment: Improve Form Submission with Multiple Open Windows

This branch resolves an issue with re-enrollment forms when a parent has multiple application form windows open simultaneously. Previously, attempting to save one form while another was open could result in an error. With this update, the system will now properly handle the scenario, preventing errors and ensuring a smoother user experience.

FOCUS-46695- Grades: Allow Electronic Grade Changes to Custom Fields without Changing Grade

This update enhances the Electronic Grade Change feature by expanding its functionality. Previously, grade changes were only allowed if the student's grade itself was modified. With this update, changes to custom fields associated with grades can now be made without altering the student's grade, providing greater flexibility in managing grade-related information.

FOCUS-46612- Course History: New Date Validation & Edit Restrictions

This update introduces several improvements to the Course History screen related to start and end dates on grade records:

• Users are now prevented from setting an end date that is earlier than the start date.
• A new permission has been added to restrict admin users from editing Course History records they did not manually add. Any records not entered by the user will be grayed out and read-only.

FOCUS-46304- Communication Platform: New Scheduled Messages Report

This update enhances the Communication Platform by adding a new "Scheduled Messages" tab to the Communication Report. This tab is accessible to all users with permission to view the Communication Report and displays a list of their active scheduled messages. Users with "View All" permissions are provided with an additional "View All" button, allowing them to view active scheduled messages created by users at schools they have permission to access.

The Scheduled Messages report includes criteria such as an Active Window (Start Date and End Date) and a User filter, available for users with "View All" permissions. The report displays key details in columns, including Start Date, Send Time, Recursion (One Time, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annually), Next Send Date (blank if the End Date precedes the next send date), End Date, and Created By (Last, First M with Staff ID). It also lists the Type of message as a concatenated list of delivery methods (e.g., Email, SMS, Call) and includes an Emergency column, displaying a checkbox for messages marked as Emergency. This feature provides enhanced visibility and management of scheduled communications with detailed and flexible reporting options.

FOCUS-45569- Seating Chart: Resolve Taking Attendance with Non-Scheduled Students Still Enrolled

This update resolves an issue where users could take attendance for a student in the Seating Chart, even if the student was not scheduled for that class on the designated rotation day. The fix ensures attendance can only be recorded for students assigned to the class on the correct day.

FOCUS-44413- Elementary Scheduler: Respect ESE/ELL Seat Restrictions

Previously, the Elementary Scheduler did not consider the Max IEP, ESOL/ELL seat restrictions defined in Courses and Sections, potentially leading to overfilled sections. This update corrects this issue, ensuring that student scheduling through this platform adheres to the seat restrictions set in Courses and Sections.

FOCUS-46830- SSS: Min/Max Year Filter for Accommodations Setup

This branch enhances the SSS module by adding a Min/Max Year column to the following setup tabs in SSS > Setup:

• Accommodations Categories
• Accommodations Options
• Accommodation Location
• Accommodation Frequency

The Min/Max Year column allows districts to control which accommodation options are visible in the Accommodations step of IEP events based on the school year, improving data accuracy and management.

FOCUS-45097- SSS: Add Disable Watermark Setting & Resolve Preset Dropdowns Print Issue in Mass Print

This update resolves an issue in the SSS module where preset dropdown values for school, staff, and students were not properly loading when mass printing events. With this update, these dropdown values now load correctly, ensuring accurate selections. Additionally, a new Disable Watermark option has been added to the Mass Print Events screen. When checked, the watermark will not appear on the downloaded PDF file.
