FOCUS-46760- Communication Platform: Edit Schools from Table View

This update resolves an issue in the Communication Platform related to the table view of templates. With this update, changes made in the table view are now accurately reflected in the database, ensuring consistency and proper functionality.

FOCUS-46668- Grad Req. Report: Improve HOPE for PE Logic (2017/18 INTERSCH SSN Waiver)(FL)

This update corrects an issue with Waivers in the Graduation Requirements Report for Florida customers. Specifically, there was a problem detecting the INTERSCH SSN requirement for waivers in the 2017/18 school year and earlier. These waivers required course 1500430 to meet the requirement, but the waiver restrictions code did not align with this rule. This update resolves the issue, ensuring proper handling of waivers for the 2017/18 school year.

FOCUS-46641- Form Builder: Removal of the Void Forms System Preference

This update improves Form Builder functionality by adjusting the visibility of the "Enable Voiding of Forms" permission. FOCUS-46606- More Search Options: Allow Multiple Calendars to be Selected When Searching for Students

This update enhances the More Search Options functionality by improving the Calendar Widget on the Student Info Search Screen. Previously, users could select only one calendar, limiting the flexibility of creating user groups. With this update, the Calendar Widget now supports selecting multiple calendars, enabling users to search for students with active enrollments associated with any of the selected calendars, providing greater versatility in group creation.

FOCUS-46586- Communication Platform: Mark Messages Read for Archived Conversations

This update improves the Communication Platform by addressing an issue with archiving conversations. Previously, archiving a conversation with unread messages would result in the inbox showing unread messages, even though the thread was no longer visible, creating the appearance of phantom messages. With this update, archiving a conversation automatically marks any unread messages in the thread as read, ensuring they are removed from the unread count and providing a more accurate inbox view.

FOCUS-46492- Delete a Student: Change Default Option and Update Wording for Merge 2 Students

This update enhances the Delete a Student, Merge 2 Students functionality by updating default settings and improving clarity in option text. The default option in "Delete a Student" is now always set to "Cancel the Merge" for added safety. FOCUS-46338- Communication Platform: New Import HTML Button to Add HTML Without Ck Editor Processing

This update introduces an exciting enhancement to the Communication Platform, adding a new Import HTML button to the CK Editor toolbar for admins. (This feature is not available when the "Use Original Text Editor" preference is enabled.) The new button allows users to import HTML created in another editor for use in their message. The imported HTML becomes an object within the message, which can be positioned as needed. Unlike editing HTML directly with the CK Editor's built-in tools, this feature preserves the original styling of the imported HTML and avoids conversion to CK Editor-approved HTML, which could otherwise alter the formatting. In the Focus Inbox and email delivery, the imported object is rendered as rich text, ensuring the intended styling is maintained. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and control over message design.

See Communication (Admin) > Original Text Editor vs. New CK Editor for more details.

FOCUS-46262- Application Editor: Resolve Issue Saving Customize Last Page

When entering a name, the system will now auto-capitalize the first character of each name if no other characters are capitalized, ensuring proper formatting and consistency in name entries.

FOCUS-45525- Scheduling: Improve Logic of Student Counts with Future Drop Dates in Teacher Schedules Report

This update resolves an issue in the Teacher Schedules Report where students with a future enrollment end date were not being counted in the student totals for teachers. With the correction, these students will be accurately included in the count until their actual withdrawal date, ensuring up-to-date and accurate student totals in the report.

FOCUS-45504- Scheduled Jobs: New Exclude Tests Option in Assign LCPs (Postsecondary FL)

This update introduces a feature enhancement to the WDIS Automated Process for Postsecondary customers in Florida. A new Exclude Tests select-multiple field has been added to the Scheduled Job setup for the Assign LCPs process. With this update, organizations can specify tests in the dropdown that should be excluded from consideration when the job is run, providing greater flexibility and customization in managing LCP assignments.

See Scheduled Jobs > Florida Scheduled Jobs > Assign LCPs for more information.

FOCUS-45472- Hall Pass: Add Kiosk Sign-On Option for Teachers

This update introduces a teacher kiosk sign-on option, enabling teachers to manage Hall Passes securely through a dedicated classroom kiosk screen.

  • Teachers can now access the kiosk using a new "Teacher Kiosk" button on the Hall Pass screen. Logging in requires a kiosk PIN or Focus credentials, and logging out prompts a re-entry of teacher credentials to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Once logged in, students can scan or type their ID to create Hall Passes. Approved locations, configured under Setup > Hall Pass Setup > Locations, are displayed for selection. Passes initiated at teacher kiosks are automatically approved.
  • Students can also view and end their active passes by scanning their ID upon returning.

A new "Teacher Kiosk Location" column has been added to Hall Pass Setup > Locations, allowing administrators to designate locations that appear on the kiosk.

This update improves the SSS module by refining the behavior of the publication prompt for events marked for the parent portal. Previously, toggling an event between active and inactive would trigger a prompt asking if you want to publish the event. With this update, the prompt no longer appears when switching between active and inactive status but continues to appear when locking the event, ensuring publication decisions are made at the appropriate stage.

FOCUS-46611- SSS: PMP Chart Improvement & Progress Monitoring Tab in General

This update introduces a new Progress Monitoring Plan tab in the SSS > General section to enhance the organization and functionality of settings related to Progress Monitoring Plans. Options previously located in the Program Preferences tab, including PMP Behavior Charts, Progress Monitoring Charts, PMP Chart Data Label, Custom PMP/BMP Title, and Data Collection, have been relocated to the new tab.

Additionally, two new fields have been added to the Progress Monitoring Plan tab. The first, PMP Academic/Behavior Chart - Peer Group, allows users to enable or disable peer group data tracking in the data collection table. By default, this option is enabled, but disabling it removes the Peer Group column from the data collection table in the relevant PMP steps. The second field, PMP Academic/Behavior Chart - Rate of Improvement, calculates the rate of improvement (slope) of the trendline for student progress in the graph, beginning at the third data point. This field is also enabled by default, and the resulting calculations display in a read-only column in the table, accurate to at least the third decimal place.

These enhancements apply to the SSS > Manage Student > Program: MTSS > Events: Academic Progress Monitoring Plan and Behavior Progress Monitoring Plan, specifically within the Academic PMP/Graph and Behavior PMP/Graph steps. These updates improve usability and flexibility, providing a more streamlined interface for managing data collection and reporting in Progress Monitoring Plans.

See General > Setting Progress Monitoring Plan Preferences, Academic PMP, and Behavior PMP for more information.
