This update improves the behavior of the Add a Student feature by refining how partial matches are returned. With this update, students with hyphenated names will now be correctly included in partial match results, ensuring more accurate search functionality.

FOCUS-47562- Form Builder: Resolve Error Submitting Forms for Approval Flow

This update resolves an error in Form Builder Approval Flow that occurred when an invalid staff ID was passed into the user tasks creation, resulting in an invalid ID exception. With this update, if a Form Approval Flow substitute record exists without a user, the record will be ignored, preventing the error and ensuring smooth processing of approval flows.

FOCUS-47552- Gradebook: Transfer Grade Marking Period Error for Semester Gradebooks

This update improves the Teacher Gradebook by resolving an issue that occurred when transferring grades for students who joined a class mid-term. With this update, the transfer grade assignment now imports correctly, ensuring a smooth transition for students changing classes.

FOCUS-47551- Parent Auth: Add Scrolling Feature to Page

This update improves the display on the second page of Parent Auth. Previously, if a parent had several linked students, the buttons would become inaccessible. This update adds a scrolling feature to the screen, ensuring that parents in this scenario can still access the buttons and complete the necessary next steps.

FOCUS-47535- Graduation Requirements Report: Resolve Personal Fitness Requirement with Waivers Entered (FL)

This update improves the Graduation Requirements Report for Florida by refining the logic used when the Use Personal Fitness Waiver Option on Graduation Requirements Report (For JROTC Only) preference is selected. With this update, if a student has a Personal Fitness course in Course History or is currently scheduled into one, Focus will grant 0.5 PE credits and 1 PA credit when either 1500480 or 1500460 and 1500450 are present in Course History. Additionally, to align with district expectations, the system will now recognize both JROTC waivers or both Inter-Scholastic waivers as fulfilling the Personal Fitness requirement, allowing the other credits to be applied accordingly.

See System Preferences > Grading for more information.

FOCUS-47532- Standard Grades Report Cards: Ensure "Letters and Sounds Knowledge" Print Correctly

This update resolves an issue in Standard Report Cards related to the Display Letters and Sounds Knowledge Skill Table and sorting options. Additionally, the setup options now include the ability to display the Letters and Sounds Knowledge Skill Table and sort report cards by Homeroom Teacher.

FOCUS-47473- Site Administration: Resolve "Something Went Wrong" Error Updating State Reporting

This update enhances the Site Administration process when updating or installing a State Reporting revision. Previously, if an end-user bypassed the Release Notes, they were redirected to Site Administration, where a Resume Update button appeared. In some cases, clicking this button resulted in a "Something Went Wrong" error because the update request was not fully reinitiated. This update ensures the update process resumes correctly, preventing errors and improving the overall installation experience.

FOCUS-47448- Teacher Portal: Correct Student Requests Needing Approval Count Portal Alert

This update corrects the behavior of Student Requests needing approval from teachers. Previously, when the "Teachers approve course requests" scheduling system preference was enabled, the teacher alert incorrectly included student requests from previous school years in the approval count. With this update, only requests for the current school year will be counted, ensuring that past requests do not appear in the approval queue.

FOCUS-47439- Ed-Fi: Add GradingPeriodName Field to Session and GradingPeriod Resources

This update improves the behavior of Ed-Fi in Arizona by addressing an issue with the GradingPeriodName field. Recently, this field was added to the Session and GradingPeriod resources, but the data was not populating correctly. With this update, GradingPeriodName now pulls as expected for both resources and is visible in the Ed-Fi Debug menu.

FOCUS-47429- Post Final Grades: Resolve 'Teacher Completion' Issue

This update improves the behavior of Post Final Grades. Previously, if a user manually entered grades and then clicked the "Use Gradebook" button, they were not prompted to save, causing the manually entered grades to be lost and not posted. With this update, users must enter manual grades after clicking "Use Gradebook," ensuring a prompt to save and correctly removing the teacher from the Completion Report.

See Post Final Grades for additional information.

FOCUS-47427- Student Info: Add Quick Link to Student Documentation Category

This update adds a link to the Student Context Menu that redirects users to the Student Documentation category on the student's Student Info page. See Searching for Students for more details.

FOCUS-47414- School Choice Report: Ensure Refresh Choice Data updates Current Grade Accordingly

This update enhances the Refresh Choice Data feature in the School Choice Report and Scheduled Job. Previously, the Current Grade field was only updated if it was null or set to NG. FOCUS-47411- Student Groups: Fix Incorrect Display of Groups in 'All Groups'

This update resolves an issue in Student Groups by refining the visibility criteria for users. Previously, a group was visible if the user had one of the group profiles and the selected school was one of the group schools. With this update, a group is now only visible if the user has one of the group profiles specifically at the selected school and the selected school is one of the group schools. This ensures more accurate access control.

Specifically, it refines the logic for the requirement stating that a student must complete at least three year-long courses in dance, music, theater, or visual arts with a grade of "A" or higher in each course. Previously, the system's logic was too broad, allowing students to meet the requirement by combining courses across different disciplines. This update adds an additional check to ensure that courses are grouped correctly based on their titles, preventing unrelated courses from being bundled together and ensuring accurate fulfillment of the requirement.

FOCUS-47081- Discipline: New 'Duplicate Referral' Permission for Teachers

This branch introduces a new permission, Duplicate Referral, allowing teacher profiles to duplicate student referrals under specific conditions. The permission is located under Referrals in the Discipline menu and is disabled for teachers by default, maintaining current functionality unless explicitly granted.

Teachers can only duplicate a referral if:

  • The referral has not been processed (discipline_referral.processed = NULL).
  • The referral was originally created by the teacher (discipline_referral.staff_id matches the teacher's staff ID).

If these conditions are not met, the Duplicate button will be disabled.

See Profiles > Permissions Explained and Referrals > Duplicating a Referral (Teacher) for more information.

FOCUS-45722- SSS: Resolve Frequency of Sessions Visibility in Print Media

This update resolves an issue in the SSS module where Frequency of Session and Frequency of Minutes were visible in the printout despite being disabled in the SOS Setup screen.
