FOCUS-49342- Form Builder: Improve Draft Behavior when Opened in Multiple Browser Tabs

This update improves how draft forms behave when opened in multiple browser tabs. Previously, if a user submitted a draft in one tab, then returned to another open tab and saved or submitted again, that second action could overwrite the submitted data. With this update, once a form is submitted, attempts to save or submit from another tab are blocked, preserving the original submission and preventing accidental overwrites.

FOCUS-50038- Human Resources | Allow leave on non-workdays

System enhancement to Payroll > Maintenance > Maintenance by Fiscal Year > Pay Types > Overall Settings, adding a setting to allow leave entry for a non-work day.

FOCUS-49787- Payroll | Add Benefits Checkbox to Deduction Classes

System enhancement to Setup > District Codes > Deduction Classes, adding a benefits check box. Any class where the box is checked is a deduction class managed by the benefits department and is for informational purposes only.

FOCUS-49355- Human Resources | Legal/Child Support Tracking

1. The new profile permissions grant view and/or edit access to new legal/child support fields.
2. The columns added to the Human Resources > Employee > Deductions page include: Case #, Description, Plaintiff Name,Plaintiff Name (2), Plaintiff Address 1, Plaintiff Address 2, Plaintiff City, Plaintiff State, Plaintiff Zip, Plaintiff Phone # (extension optional), Released, and Term Unit.

This update ensures that when a teacher assigns an assignment to specific students using the "Assign to Individual Students Only" option, only those selected students will see it in their calendar view. Previously, all students enrolled in the course could see the assignment on their calendar regardless of assignment targeting. With this fix, the calendar now honors the assignment visibility rules already in place across other gradebook views.

FOCUS-50092- Standard Grades Report Cards: Resolve SQL error caused by More Search Options

This update resolves a SQL error that occurred when printing Standard Grades Report Cards while using "Scheduled into Teacher" and "Grade Level" filters in More Search Options. With this fix, URL parameters are properly encoded, ensuring the report generates without errors when using these filters.

FOCUS-50083- Advanced Reports: Next Grade Display Logic Updated for Accuracy

This update ensures the correct "Next Grade" value is displayed for students. The system now prioritizes the value explicitly stored in the enrollment record, rather than recalculating it unnecessarily. If no value is stored, it will fall back to grade progression rules. This change eliminates blank or incorrect next grade values previously seen in reports.

FOCUS-50067- Addresses & Contacts: Resolve Saving Linked Students

This update resolves an issue where staff users could not save Linked Students under Addresses & Contacts.

FOCUS-50058- Mobile App: Honor End-Dated Enrollments for Current School Year

This update ensures that students with end-dated enrollments in the current school year (e.g., completed early or graduated) are still recognized by the permission checks in the mobile app. Previously, these students would appear with limited access (e.g., missing grades, schedule) after their end date.

FOCUS-50049- Transcripts: Resolve Serif Font Selection

This update resolves an issue where transcripts would always print using the Sans-serif font, even when the user selected Serif in the Course Table Font Style setting. The fix ensures that the selected font--Serif or Sans-serif--is properly applied when generating transcripts.

FOCUS-50041- Transcripts: Display Test History from All Enrollment Schools

This update removes a restriction that previously limited test history to only display when printing transcripts from a student's primary school. With this enhancement, test history scores now appear on transcripts regardless of which enrolled school is selected, ensuring a more complete academic record across all active enrollments.

FOCUS-50014- Grad. Req. Report: New Preference to Hide A+ Scholarship Section (Missouri)

This update introduces a new system preference for Missouri districts: "Include A+ Scholarship Program in Graduation Requirements Report." When unchecked, the A+ Scholarship Program section is hidden from the Graduation Requirements Report. The preference is enabled by default to maintain current behavior, and has no effect on non-Missouri instances.

This update ensures that students can no longer view in-progress grades via tooltips in the Graduation Requirements Report when the preference "Hide posted grades from parents and students until grade posting closes" is enabled. Grades will now correctly display as "N/A" in tooltips if the marking period's posting window is still open, aligning the behavior with what is shown in the Grades tab.

FOCUS-49942- Electronic Grade Changes: Parent Marking Periods Now Ignore Enrollment Effective Date

This update ensures that when recalculating grades for parent marking periods--such as Semester or Full Year grades--the student's effective enrollment date is no longer considered. Previously, inactive students or those with early withdrawal dates could be excluded from recalculation when electronic grade changes were approved. With this change, both active and inactive students will have their parent marking period grades recalculated as expected after grade changes, ensuring consistent GPA and grade reporting.

FOCUS-49926- RunQuery AI: Field Suggestions Now Display with Underscores for Improved Accuracy

This update resolves an issue where field suggestions in RunQuery (e.g., student id, end date) were displaying with spaces instead of underscores, which could lead to invalid queries or unhelpful autocomplete results. The system now standardizes suggestions to use underscores (e.g., student_id, end_date), improving query accuracy and consistency.

FOCUS-49913- Grade Change Requests: Update Grade Level on Approval for Specific States

This change supports the update of the Grade Level field in Student Final Grades for customers in Florida, Texas, Maryland, Ohio, and Utah when an electronic grade change is approved. It ensures the student's most recent enrolled grade level is automatically stored in the custom_7 field on the final grade record. This helps meet state-specific reporting needs and improves data accuracy during grade change workflows.

FOCUS-49912- Add a Student: SSN Masking Now Respects User Permissions

This update resolves an issue where users without the "View Full SSN" permission could still see full Social Security Numbers in the search results when using Add a Student. With this fix, the SSN field is now properly masked for users lacking the required permission, ensuring sensitive data is protected as expected.

FOCUS-49892- Application Editor: Resolve Validation for Hidden Address Groups

This update corrects an issue where required address fields inside hidden groups were still being validated, preventing users from progressing through or submitting an online application or re-enrollment form. With this resolution, hidden address groups are now correctly excluded from validation, ensuring a smoother experience for users completing forms with conditional address logic from the Application Editor.

FOCUS-49878- Test History: Box and Whisker Graph Display Restored

This resolution resolves an issue where the box and whisker charts in Test History were displaying only numeric values instead of the expected bar graphs. After the resolution, clicking the graph icon under Scale Score now correctly renders the visual representation of student performance.

FOCUS-49848- Attendance Chart: Multi-School Attendance Data Display Fixed

This update resolves an issue where attendance data in the Attendance Chart was only visible for students enrolled in the top-right selected school, even when "Search All Schools" was enabled. With this fix, users can now view accurate attendance data across multiple schools, as expected, when filtering by selected schools in More Search Options.

FOCUS-49809- Communication Platform: Resolve Inactive Generate Letter Button in Letter Log

This update resolves an issue where the Generate Letter button in the Letter Log could still trigger letter generation when it was not visibly displayed. With this resolution, the button is only functional when it is actively visible--ensuring that letters can no longer be generated from the empty space where a button once appeared.

FOCUS-49807- Utah: Improved USIIS Immunization Mapping for PCV-20 Vaccine

This update enhances the Immunization API for Utah customers by adding support for CVX code 216, representing the 20-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV-20). With this change, immunizations returned from USIIS that include this code are now properly mapped to the "PCV" category, ensuring records are accurately reflected in the Immunization screen and counted toward compliance.

FOCUS-49738- Attendance Chart: Display Room Number Next to Teacher Name

This update enhances the Attendance Chart by displaying the section's room number in parentheses after the teacher's name. If a Display Room is set for the section, that value will appear; otherwise, the standard Room value is shown. This provides front office staff with quick access to room location details when reviewing attendance.

FOCUS-49710- Attendance Chart: Hide Daily/Period Dropdown When Viewing a Single Student

This update removes the Daily/Period toggle dropdown from the Attendance Chart when only one student is selected. Previously, the dropdown was still visible but had no effect, which could cause confusion. Now, the toggle only appears when a list of students is being viewed, where the selection is functional.

FOCUS-49636- Google SSO: Linked Accounts Tab Now Appears Without Google Classroom Enabled

This update improves the visibility of the Linked Accounts tab under My Preferences. Previously, this tab would only appear if Google Classroom was enabled. With this change, the tab will now also display when the "Linked Accounts" option is selected in the Google SSO configuration, even if Google Classroom is not in use.

FOCUS-49493- Letter Queue: Email with Log Entry Now Matches Behavior of Without Log Entry

This update standardizes the behavior of email options in the Letter Queue. Previously, when using "Email Letters & Add Log Records," the system generated a PDF instead of displaying a status message like the "Email Without Adding Log Entries" option. With this update, both methods now display consistent status results, improving clarity and aligning functionality.

FOCUS-49275 - Communication Platform: Reminders on Polls & Sign Ups

A new enhancement to the Communication module now allows users to schedule automated reminder emails and push notifications for both Polls and Sign Ups. When composing a message with an attached Poll or Sign Up, users will see a Send Reminder dropdown, after populating the responses allowed until time, that enables them to select when recipients should be reminded to respond. Available options include:

• Immediately (sent as soon as the poll or sign up is posted)
• 1 Hour Before the response deadline
• 1 Day Before the response deadline
• 5 Days Before the response deadline

Multiple reminder intervals can be selected to ensure maximum engagement.

These reminder emails are automatically sent to recipients with a subject line such as "Poll Reminder" or "Sign Up Reminder" followed by the title of the event. The body of the email includes a direct link to the Poll or Sign Up along with a real-time countdown showing how much time remains until the response window closes (e.g., "Reminder: Class President ends in 20 hours and 16 minutes").

This feature helps ensure recipients are aware of pending actions and increases response rates by providing timely, automated nudges as deadlines approach. No additional setup is required--reminders will be sent based on the selected interval(s) when the message is posted.

FOCUS-49263- Course Catalog: Added Parent/Student Title Field for Report Cards & Portals

This enhancement adds a new "Parent/Student Title" field to the Course Catalog, allowing schools to define alternate course names specifically for student- and parent-facing interfaces. This title will display in the Student and Parent Portals, the mobile app, and optionally on report cards.

A new setting labeled "Use Parent/Student Title" has been added to the Report Cards interface, located just below the existing "Use Transcript Title" option.

When enabled:

• If the Parent/Student Title is populated, it will display on the report card.
• If the field is empty, the system defaults to the standard course title.
• If the checkbox is unchecked, the report card behavior remains unchanged.

This provides greater flexibility in customizing how course names appear to families without affecting internal naming conventions.

FOCUS-49257- RunQuery: Improved Handling of NULL and Long Field Values

This update improves the handling of NULL and extremely long field values in the new RunQuery tool. Columns with NULL values now display "NULL" in the interface instead of appearing blank. Fields with more than 100,000 characters are truncated, matching the behavior of the legacy RunQuery. JSON fields and CSV/JSON exports continue to behave as expected.

FOCUS-49110- Add a Student: Restore 'Enroll in Applicants' Functionality

This update fixes an issue where users without access to the Applicants school could still view student records after using the Enroll in Applicants option. With this change, users with the "Enroll in Applicants" permission but no assigned school access can complete the process, but are redirected after enrollment and prevented from viewing the student's record.

FOCUS-48742- Parent/Student Portal: TIDE Family Portal Link Moved to Reports Tab (FL)

This update improves consistency across platforms by relocating the Florida TIDE Family Portal link on the Parent and Student Portal. Previously shown in the Grades block, the link now appears under the Reports tab to match its location in the mobile app. The link also includes the label "TIDE Family Portal" for clarity, aligning with mobile app display.

FOCUS-48523- Honor Roll Setup: Add Honor Roll Minimum Requirements & Conduct Grade Criteria

This update adds the ability to include Conduct grades as criteria in Honor Roll Setup, allowing schools to define qualifications based on both academic and conduct performance. Additionally, the Grade Scale column has been updated to reflect the Minimum Number of X Grade required, replacing the previous "Maximum" logic. Districts using the former logic should review and update their Honor Roll configurations accordingly.

FOCUS-48010- Final Grades, GPA, & Class Rank: Consistent GPA Calculation Across Final Grades and Calculate GPA

This update resolves a discrepancy between GPA and weighted GPA values when using Final Grades, GPA & Class Rank versus the Calculate GPA feature for a semester marking period. Previously, when the system preference "Weight GPA by Credits" was enabled, the Calculate GPA feature used student_report_card_grades.credits in its calculations, while changes made in Final Grades, GPA & Class Rank did not. With this update, both methods now use the same calculation logic, ensuring consistent GPA values.
