FOCUS-42157- Postsecondary: Delete Invoices on Schedule Records Enhancement

This update introduces a "Delete Invoices" button on individual schedule records, enhancing the management of unpaid invoice allocations. This button allows users to delete unpaid invoice allocations associated with a specific schedule, provided these invoices have no partial payments or deferrals. It's designed to streamline the process of managing financial records, especially when a student changes schedules or withdraws, by enabling the removal of associated invoices before deleting a schedule record. The button appears only when there are eligible invoices for deletion and is available to users with the necessary billing and invoicing permissions. Additionally, the system will create "AR Invoice Unaccrued" journals for each deleted allocation, ensuring financial records remain accurate and up-to-date.

FOCUS-41655- New Automated Invoicing from Fee Templates (Postsecondary & Before/Aftercare)

This update introduces a feature that integrates the Invoice by Schedule record into the Automatic Billing screen, enabling automated invoicing from Fee Templates. A new "Fee Templates" checkbox column is added, which becomes visible when the "School is Post Secondary" system preference or the "Enable Before/After Care" Focus setting is enabled. Selecting this checkbox for a line item will trigger invoicing for any associated fee templates tied to the schedule records included in the criteria. Additionally, a "Fee Bill By" dropdown is introduced, mirroring the options available on the schedule screen, and is editable when the "Fee Templates" checkbox is selected. This enhancement streamlines the invoicing process, allowing for automatic fee billing based on predefined templates and criteria, thereby improving efficiency and accuracy in financial management.

FOCUS-42305- Communication Platform: New School Variable in Attendance Insert Fields

This update introduces a new feature to the Communication Platform, allowing the insertion of a School Title for Attendance Messages. This title can be used in Email, SMS, and TTS formats for both Daily and Period Attendance communication triggers, enhancing the customization and clarity of attendance communications.

FOCUS-42270- Add a Student: Include Birth Year in Search Criteria

This update enhances the "Add a Student" search functionality by including Birth Year as a search criterion. When utilized, the search becomes strict, ensuring that only students with the exact Birth Year specified will appear in the search results.

FOCUS-42261- Periods: New Sub-Permission Preventing Adding/Deleting Periods

This update introduces a new "Add & Delete" sub-permission for Periods. By default, this sub-permission is enabled for profiles with existing Edit permissions on Periods to preserve current functionality. Profiles lacking this sub-permission can still edit elements like start and end times or minutes for Periods, but cannot add, delete, or modify the Title or Shortname. This enhancement enables customers to allow specific modifications to bell schedules at the school level while preventing additions or deletions of periods, thus avoiding potential issues with the Master Schedule.

See Periods and Profiles > Permissions Explained for more information.

FOCUS-42249- Letterhead Templates: Prevent Layout Removal After Timeout

This update addresses an issue where updating Letterhead Templates could result in data loss if the user timed out after pressing save. Now, after saving a Letterhead Template, the system will redirect to the template's default URL, preventing any loss of information if a user times out and logs back in, ensuring the integrity of the Letterhead Templates.

FOCUS-42248- Graduation Requirements Report: Improve Scholar Designation Course Requirements Consistency (FL)

This update enhances the consistency of scholar designations within the Graduation Requirements Report for Florida customers. It standardizes the course number comparison by checking only the first seven digits against hardcoded course numbers. Previously, statistics was the only subject checking a system preference for course number length, which differed from other subjects. By aligning the comparison method across all subjects, this change ensures more consistent and accurate scholar designations within the report.

FOCUS-42247- Graduation Requirements Report: Adjust US History Scholar Designation Logic (FL)

This update modifies the Scholar Designation criteria within the Graduation Requirements Report for Florida customers. Specifically, for the Scholar Designation related to passing the US History EOC, scores from the AICE History A/AS level test in Test History will no longer be considered.

FOCUS-42235- Grade Change Requests: Allow Editing Grade Changes without Error

This update addresses an issue with the grade change request process. Previously, users encountered an error requiring a new grade or conduct grade when attempting to add an explanation to deny an existing grade change request or modify its details. Now, users can add explanations or change details of existing requests without facing this error, which should only apply to the creation of new grade change requests, enhancing the user experience and process clarity.

FOCUS-42199- School Choice Reports: Adjust grade levels criteria for the list of Students in Applying School

This update enhances the Verify Siblings feature within the School Choice Module, specifically in the School Choice Report. Previously, the sibling verification process in the pop-up model only considered students in the applying school based on eligible grade levels. Now, the system extends its search to include potential candidates by leveraging the eligible grades up to the highest grade level designated in the School Choice Setup, under Programs configuration. This refinement aims to streamline the verification process by providing a more precise review of potential sibling matches.

See School Choice Reports > Viewing the Student List Tabs and Verifying Application Information for more information.

FOCUS-42163- Immunization Compliance: Update Compliance Rules for Utah

This update modifies the Immunization Compliance feature to accommodate specific compliance requirements for customers in Utah. The adjustments ensure that the feature aligns with Utah's regulations, enhancing accuracy and effectiveness in tracking and managing immunization compliance within the state.

FOCUS-42076- Edit Rules & Workflow: Improve Workflow Trigger Functionality with Applications

This update refines the functionality of Edit Rules & Workflow, specifically Workflow Triggers, when used with an application and the "Process Edit Rules on Student Updates" system preference is enabled. Previously, Workflow Triggers were activated upon turning a page in an application, even if no data changes occurred, leading to potential duplicate emails to end-users. Now, Workflow Triggers will only activate upon page turn if a change in data has been made, reducing unnecessary email notifications. This enhancement does not impact the functionality of Edit Rules & Workflow, ExecuteSQLs for applications, ensuring that essential processes remain unaffected while improving user experience.

FOCUS-41236- Student Groups: Resolve Teacher Permissions to Modify Groups

This update addresses a permissions issue within Student Groups, ensuring that teachers can only modify groups they have created, and only if they possess 'Edit Groups' permission. Previously, teachers with 'view only' permissions were able to alter groups they did not create. This change reinforces the intended permissions structure, enhancing security and integrity by preventing unauthorized modifications to student groups.

FOCUS-42224- SSS: Improve Rendering PDFs with Mass Printing & Large Events

This update resolves an issue where, after a locked event was auto-imaged and sent to the server, certain steps, particularly focus steps, were not rendering correctly and appeared as empty pages when the file was viewed. Additionally, this problem affected Mass Print Events. With the new update, all steps are now rendering properly for both individual and mass print events, ensuring that no content is lost or displayed incorrectly.

FOCUS-42185- SSS: New Alternate Name Field to Events

This update introduces an 'Alternate Title' column in the SSS>Setup>Events tab specifically for Focus Events. This feature provides flexibility in how event names are presented, allowing for more contextual or user-friendly naming as needed.

See Manage Student > Searching for a Student for more information.

FOCUS-42052- SSS: Add Support in ExecuteSQL Triggers for Multi-Select Fields

This update enhances the Execute SQL action in the SSS form and event triggers by introducing support for multi-select fields, such as checkbox groups or multi-select dropdowns. Previously, these types of fields would not populate correctly in the SIS, resulting in empty dropdowns. With this enhancement, the multi-select fields are now fully supported, ensuring that dropdowns in the SIS are updated accurately with the selected values, thereby improving data integrity and user interaction with the system.

See Setup > Setting Up Event Triggers and Setting Up Form Triggers for more information.

FOCUS-41622- SSS: New Save Progress Monitoring Manually

This update introduces a Save button to the IEP Goals Progress Report Event interface for SSS customers, positioned at the top left alongside the next and previous buttons. Users can now save their progress, but only once all required fields are completed. Additionally, with this enhancement, the red "required" indicators at the top of the interface have been removed, streamlining the visual experience and focusing user attention on completing necessary fields for successful data entry and saving.
