The FLEID Processes module is used to send the FLEID file to the DOE. The DOE will provide the FLEIDs for the students in the file, which can be imported into Focus. The exported file is stored in the FLEID_IN folder on the DOE designated server. Focus will look in the FLEID_OUT folder on the DOE server and will download the errors and FLEID list. The user can select what to import into Focus. Focus must have the district SSO appropriately set up in the config file to enable the upload.
1. From the Florida Reports menu, click FLEID Processes.
2. Click the Export FLEID tab is selected by default.
3. Use the School Years pull-downs to select the year range to export.
4. Use the Source Indicator pull-down to select K-12 Students, WDIS Students, or Staff as the source data.
5. If applicable, select Include Inactive Students to include inactive students in the file.
Selecting Include Inactive Students will pull any student that is in grades K-12 and does not have a FLEID.
6. Enter the Export Record Limit number in the provided text box.
7. To download a copy of the export file, click Download Export File.
The file will be downloaded as a .txt file. Once downloaded, locate the file in your local download folder.
8. Click Export Records to generate and export the file of students or staff to DOE. When the export is complete, a green check mark will display along with FLEID Export Success.
The FLEID_status table stores the tracking information, including user ID, start date and time, end date and time, process ID, hostname, last updated date, status, and start and end school year. The exported file is stored in the FLEID_IN folder on the DOE designated server.
The Export FLEID (Search) tab allows an advanced search to be used to filter and send a select group of students or users.
1. From the Florida Reports menu, click FLEID Processes.
2. From the FLEID Processes screen, click the Export FLEID (Search) tab.
3. Select whether you want to conduct a student search or a user search from the Export Search Type pull-down.
4. Enter the applicable search criteria in the Student or User text box or define additional search criteria using More Search Options. See Searching for Students or Navigating & Searching for more information.
5. Use the School Years pull-downs to select the year range to export.
6. Use the Source Indicator pull-down to select either K-12 Students or WDIS Students as the source data.
7. Select the File Process. Options are Missing FLEID Export File, Legal Changes File (Update Name/Demographic Information), or Corrections File (Correct Identifiers/Name/Birth/Demographic/Enrollment Information).
8. Select the Search All Schools check box to search for students/users at all schools as opposed to pulling students/users from the school selected in the header.
9. Select the Include Parents check box to include users defined as Parents in the search/export. This option displays when "Users" is selected as the Export Search Type.
10. Select the Include Inactive Students check box to include inactive students in the search/export. Select the Include Inactive Users check box to include inactive users in the search/export.
11. Select the Only Show Most Recent Enrollment check box for the most recent enrollment determined by start date, then end date, and finally by user_enrollment id. This option displays when "Users" is selected as the Export Search Type. When this option is selected:
- A new user with no profiles assigned (enrolled) at all will show up as an Invalid Profile.
- If a user has multiple profiles at one school, it will return the most recent enrollment at that school (there will be one record row for that user).
- If a user has profiles at multiple schools, it will return the most recent enrollment at each school (there will be one record row for that user at each school).
12. Click Search.
13. Select the applicable check boxes to select the students/users to include in the export. Select the Select All check box to select all listed students/users.
14. To download a copy of the export file, click Download Export File.
15. Click Export Records to generate and export the file of students to DOE. When the export is complete, a green check mark will display along with FLEID Export Success.
16. Click Go back to start a new search.

2. From the FLEID Processes screen, click the Import FLEID Files tab.
3. Select the applicable file from the Available Import Files pull-down, which includes the files that are available on the SFTP server.
4. Click Choose File to upload and import a file from your computer.
5. Click Import File. The system will import the file into a background staging table where the students will be matched.
When the import is complete, a green check mark displays with FLEID Import Success. The system will import the file into a background staging table where the students will be matched.

2. From the FLEID Processes screen, click the Display FLEID Records tab.
Records will not display unless you first follow the process of importing FLEIDs. For information on how to import, see the section titled, Importing FLEID Files.

3. Click the Local ID link next to a student/user to open the Student Info/User Info screen in a new window or tab (depending on browser settings). Hover over the local ID with the mouse to make the link appear.
4. Click the View Record link in the Import Records column to open the FLEID file record to verify the information. Hover over View Record with the mouse to make the link appear.
5. When finished reviewing, click Close Window.
6. Select the records to import. You can select the check boxes next to individual records or select the Select All check box to select all records in the list.
7. Click Import Records. The FLEIDs will import into the students'/users' records.

3. Select the applicable file from the Available Files pull-down, which includes the raw FLEID, rejected record, and near match resolution files currently at the DOE.
4. Select the file you want to download and click Download File.
When the download is complete, a green check mark displays with FLEID Download Success.

2. From the FLEID Processes screen, click the FLEID History tab.
This tab displays the FLEID Process ran, the Run Time, the User that ran the process, the FLEID File name of the exported/imported file, and the Record Count of the file.
3. Click the FLEID File name to download the file exported/imported by the FLEID program, provided that it still exists on the server. Hover over the FLEID File with the mouse to make the link appear.
