FES Payment Confirmation Reports

The FES Payment Confirmation Reports are used to verify the FES (Family Empowerment Scholarship) data prior to sending the file to DOE.

DOE continues to provide districts with FES survey (prepayment) files, requiring the returned file to contain public school enrollment or withdrawal dates.

  • Survey H responses reflect on September Payment File
  • Survey I responses reflect on November Payment File
  • Survey J responses reflect on February Payment File
  • Survey K responses reflect on April Payment File
FES Payment Confirmation Reports Process

1. Use the Florida Reports > Florida Reports Setup > FES Payment File Upload tab to upload the appropriate FES Payment File to Focus.

2. Use the Florida Reports > Generate FES Extracts screen to generate the appropriate files to send to DOE.

3. From the Florida Reports menu, click FES Payment Confirmation Reports to check if the data fails any of the DOE edits.

FES Payment Confirmation Reports

The FES Payment Confirmation Reports work just like the DOE verification reports. If there are any errors, you can click on the specific error and drill down to see the actual records that are in error. You can correct the errors and rerun the Generate FES Extracts process to re-create the file for DOE.

4. Click FES Payment Data Reconciliation or FES Scholarship Verification to generate the report.

FES Payment Data Reconciliation runs off of FLORIDA_FES_PAYMENT table.

FES Scholarship Verification runs off of FLORIDA_FES_PREPAYMENT table.

Once a tab/report is selected, you will see more information about the data and the errors. Data will be broken up into sections all starting with a gray arrow. The first column of information displays error numbers and percentages.

  • If there are 0 errors, the font will be black, and the percentage of error-free data will be listed in parentheses as (100%) as shown in the image.
  • If data for a section is 90% to 99% error-free, the font will be in blue.
  • If a section is between 80% and 90% error-free, the font will be in yellow.
  • If data for a section is less 80% error-free, the font will be in red.

The second column displayed next to the number of errors is a description of DOE rules and regulations. These descriptions will help explain what errors are being found in your data. As shown in the image, the error in blue explains: Student is enrolled in 3900 in Florida Demographic but is not in the payment files.
