FOCUS-41572- Rollover: Improve Set Next School Scheduled Job Zoning Logic

This update enhances the Set Next School Scheduled Job, ensuring a more accurate assignment of students' Rolling Retention Option (student_enrollment.next_school). Now, the system automatically sets the next school based on a match in the Address Catalog, considering the appropriate school year and availability of the next grade level. This grade level must be marked as "Used for Zoning" and suitable for student progression. This improvement guarantees that the zoned school is determined by the customer's specific Address Catalog, independent of usual grade level group patterns.

See Scheduled Jobs and Rollover > Using the Set Next School Scheduled Job for more information.

This update introduces a display enhancement for the Address & Contacts Address Blocks of students. Now, if a student's primary address is already validated against the Address Catalog, the Zoned Schools information will be automatically displayed, removing the need to click the 'Validate Address' button. However, if the student's address is unvalidated or has been changed, users will still need to click the 'Validate Address' button to view updated Zoned Schools information.

Before this update, users experienced an issue when performing a search from the Portal (Find a Student) and then switching schools while viewing the results. FOCUS-41305- School Choice: Enhancements for the Projected Grade field on the Evaluate Placement screen

This update enhances the logic for determining the Projected Gradelevel within the School Choice Module, streamlining it across all areas. The logic is defined as:

1) For applications to a School Choice Program for the default school year, the Projected Gradelevel is set to the student's current gradelevel.

2) For applications for the next school year, the Projected Gradelevel follows a specific hierarchy:

a) Priority is given to the 'Choice Applicant Gradelevel' field. If this is null, The 'Applicant Gradelevel' field is used.

b) If both are null and the student is marked as 'Retained' in the Rolling/Retention field, their current gradelevel is used.

c) Otherwise, for non-retained students without values in the aforementioned fields, the next grade in the customer's gradelevel configuration is used. For students in transition grades, the next grade in the applicant school's configuration applies.

This streamlined approach ensures a more accurate and efficient grade level projection for School Choice applicants.

The latest update introduces three new settings to the Communication Platform settings screen, accessible to both admin and teacher users:

1) Opt in for Push Notifications on All Messages: When enabled, users receive push notifications for every message sent to them.

2) Opt out of Email Notifications: Activating this setting prevents users from receiving email notifications for messages.

3) Out of Office: This feature includes start and end date fields and a CK editor for setting the out-of-office period. FOCUS-39717- Teacher Gradebook: Improve Importing Category Assignments from Previous Years

This update modifies the functionality of importing categories in the Teacher Gradebook. FOCUS-41307- SSS: Add New Gradelevel Setting on Require Objectives Option

This update introduces a new feature in the SSS, General section, adding a 'Grade Levels' dropdown next to the 'Require Objectives' option. This allows districts to mandate that two objectives be set for specific grade levels. When this feature is enabled, the message 'All goals must have 2 objectives' in the Goals & Objectives step of the IEP Event will no longer appear for students who are not in the specified grade levels. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and customization in setting educational objectives, ensuring they are relevant to the specific needs of different grade levels.

See General for more information.

FOCUS-41306- SSS: Add New Supplementary Aids & Services

This update adds two new options to the Supplementary Aids and Services section in the Schedule of Services step of the IEP Event within the SSS. The newly introduced options are 'White cane (O&M only)' and 'Temporary Distance Learning Plan.' These additions provide more specific aids and service choices.

FOCUS-41293- SSS: Improved Logic Setting New Accommodations from Event Triggers

Before this update, when an IEP Event, Amended IEP, IEP 2.0, or Amended IEP 2.0 was locked with new Accommodations selected, the Event Trigger to 'Push Participation In State District Assessment' correctly updated new values but failed to clear old rows from the SIS Logging Field. This issue has been resolved with the current update. Now, when any of these events are locked with new Accommodations, the old FSA test accommodations are automatically cleared from the SIS logging field and replaced with the newly set values, ensuring the data remains current and accurate.

FOCUS-41091- SSS: Event Imaging UI Improvements in Manage Student

Before this update, there were two issues with the SSS Event imaging process. With this update, these issues have been resolved:

- For SSS Events that have not been imaged or have been un-imaged, the 'Imaged Time' column in the Locked Events tab will no longer display a date, ensuring accuracy and clarity in the event records.
