FOCUS-42177- Scheduling: Resolve Print Requests by Student Option in Request Reports
This update addresses an issue where Scheduling Request Reports' "Print Requests by Student" sheets were incorrectly printing by course instead of by student. Previously, attempting to download request sheets from the "Requests Reports" under the "Print Request by Student" option resulted in displaying "Request by Course" results, due to the tab not being correctly included in the URL. This fix ensures the correct tab is included in the URL, so the appropriate page loads, correcting the printing and downloading process.
FOCUS-42128- Communication Platform: Improve View Only Permissions in Table View of Templates
This update addresses an issue with the List Table View for Templates in Communication Platform, where "View Only" permissions were not respected for pages beyond the first in the table. This has now been corrected to ensure consistent permission enforcement across all pages.
FOCUS-42127- CTE Report Cards: Improve Generation for Courses with Different Days of the Week
This update resolves an issue with CTE report cards arising from the process of querying multiple related courses and merging them into a single result. Previously, there was no logic to accommodate for differences in the scheduled days of the week for courses, leading to inconsistencies based on the order of returned records and varying scheduled days. The update now ensures that all relevant courses' scheduled days are considered when calculating a student's scheduled hours, aiming to provide a more accurate representation of their schedule.
FOCUS-42115- Post Final Grades: Ensure "Use Gradebook Grades" Option Displays as Expected
This update addresses a problem where the 'Use Gradebook Grades' link on the post final grades page was empty and failed to display the student's grade book grade as expected.
FOCUS-42098- Attendance: Disable Keypad Upon First Entry to Prevent Multiple Slips in Kiosk
This update fixes a Kiosk issue where, if a student checked in with a badge or double-pressed the enter key during manual entry, multiple check-in requests were sent, leading to several slip requests being printed. To address this, the keypad is now disabled upon the first entry, preventing additional requests from being sent after the initial one.
FOCUS-42073- Communication Platform: New Export to CSV Enhancement in Communication Reports
This update introduces an export to CSV feature in the Communication Reports for instances when the number of recipients exceeds 10,000. Previously, a message indicated that only 10,000 recipients were displayed, without the option to view all. Now, users can click the link to download a CSV file, allowing them to view the complete list of recipients.
FOCUS-42067- Print Letters & Send Emails: Resolve Period Attendance Values not Displaying as Expected
This update addresses two issues in the Print Letters & Send Email module when retrieving attendance information, which previously resulted in all period attendances being reported as zero:
1. When multiple schools were selected for a student, there was confusion over which period ID to use for fetching absences. This has been resolved by utilizing the period short name and linking to the school_periods table instead.
2. The fields 'per_days_abs_begin' and 'per_days_abs_end' would automatically populate and limit the absences fetched, even if the user had not entered any information. This has been corrected by defaulting these values to NULL, preventing unintended filtering of absences.
FOCUS-42041- Gradebook Reports: Resolve Progress Reports 'Total' Grade Format
This update addresses a problem where, if a user's gradebook settings were configured to display grades in 'points' only, the 'total' grade format in progress reports would still show the grade as a percentage. This has been corrected to ensure that the 'total' grade format aligns with the user's specified preference for 'points' only.
FOCUS-42031- Student Portal: Resolve Continuing Online Application for Returning Students
This update fixes an issue encountered by returning students during login, where an error message indicated that no forms had been set up for them, despite re-enrollment forms being created. The problem stemmed from the system expecting the "OnApply" setting to be activated, which was not being set during the object creation in the search process. This has been amended to ensure the "OnApply" setting is correctly applied, resolving the login issue for returning students.
FOCUS-41346- Print a Form/Letter and Communication Platform Print Enhancements
With this update, new options are introduced for printing letters from both the communication screen and the student demographic tab, enhancing the customization and functionality of communication templates. However, these new printing options are not available when printing a print letter and send email template directly from the demographic page.
When Printing from Communication:
- Before the Update: A copy of the letter would appear for all contacts selected, in their preferred language.
- With the Update: Users now have a list of options for printing:
- Include Student's or User's Name/ID on Each PDF Page: This option, checked by default if enabled in settings, adds the student/contact's name at the top of each page.
- Redirect to Print Avery Labels for Students Upon Closing Modal?: This option is available to users with Avery label printing permissions, redirecting them to print Avery labels for selected students upon closing the modal.
- Print Original: Translates all letters back into English, regardless of the users/students' preferred languages.
- Print in Primary Contact's Language: Translates all letters into the primary contact's language, determined by the linked user attached to the primary contact with a sort order of 1.
See Communication > Printing & Previewing Messages (Admin) and Communication > Print & Previewing Messages (Teachers) for more information.
When Printing from the Student Demographic:
- The update adds new print letter options identical to those on the communication screen, alongside one new option for email:
- Secure Message: Automatically selected if the secure message setting is enabled on the template, sending a secure message to the student and/or contacts. Note that messages sent to additional addresses (typed emails) will not be sent securely.
These enhancements aim to provide more tailored and efficient communication by accommodating language preferences, ensuring confidentiality, and facilitating label printing.
See Student Info > Printing Forms and Letters for more information.

FOCUS-41839- SSS: Resolve SSS Event Imaging & Uploading
Before this update, imaging and uploading an SSS event to a separate server would fail if the event name included characters not allowed by the server's file system, such as forward slashes. With the update, the SSS event can now be imaged and successfully uploaded to the server, even if the Image Name Format contains forward slashes, eliminating errors related to file naming restrictions.
FOCUS-41746- SSS: Improve Mass Printing when Selecting only a Progress Monitoring Step

FOCUS-41704- SSS: Restrict Editing Collections & Actions in Focus Forms
Before the update, users had the ability to edit and save collections in Focus Forms. The current update changes this functionality: the 'Add/Edit Collection' and 'Add/Edit Action' buttons are no longer available, and all components on Focus Forms are disabled, restricting the ability to make changes to collections within the system.
FOCUS-40332- SSS: Mass Lock Events Enhancement
This update introduces a new SSS menu item titled "Mass Lock Events," which is disabled by default to ensure controlled access. The feature includes a new screen that allows for the selection of programs from a dropdown menu of all enabled programs. Upon selection, a table displays all events associated with the chosen program, structured with six columns:
- Mass Lock Instances checkbox: Allows for the selection of multiple events to lock simultaneously.
- Event Name: Displays the name of each event.
- Include Active Instances: Pre-checked by default, it includes active instances in the selection.
- Include Inactive Instances: Also pre-checked by default, it includes inactive instances in the selection.
- Active Instance Count: Shows the number of active instances for each event.
- Inactive Instance Count: Shows the number of inactive instances for each event.
After selecting events and clicking the Submit button, a popup displays a summary of the chosen events for confirmation before locking. Upon confirmation, another popup indicates the number of events successfully locked. These events are then moved to the Locked Events Tab in the Manage Student screen, signifying their locked status.
See Mass Lock Events for more information.
