FOCUS-42800- Communication Platform: Improve OCN Status Scheduled Job

The scheduled job for updating call/SMS statuses has been revised to ensure correct functionality. With this update, the Communications Report will show the "external status" instead of simply "Sent," offering more detailed insights. Error statuses will be accompanied by descriptive text in the Error column for better clarity. Initially, the Status column under Recipients will indicate "Sent" post-message dispatch to OCN, and will update to "Reached," "Unreached," etc., once the actual status is retrieved.

FOCUS-42766- Electronic Grade Changes: Ensure Standard-Based Grades Included in Portal Alert

This update addresses an issue where the Portal Alert, intended to notify end-users of pending Electronic Grade Changes for review, did not include alerts for standard-based grade changes. Now, all types of grade changes, including standard-based, will trigger the appropriate alert to ensure comprehensive monitoring and review.

FOCUS-42760- Document Management: Improve Image Rendering Fit-to-Width

This update enhances the Document Management add-on module by addressing an issue where PDF renderings did not resize images appropriately. Now, images within PDFs are adjusted to fit the width of a single page while maintaining their aspect ratio, ensuring clarity and consistency in document presentations.

FOCUS-42751- Ed-Fi: Update Special Education Descriptor Logic (Texas)

This update to EdFi enhances the functionality for Texas customers by modifying the StudentSpecialEducationProgramAssociation endpoint. Now, the specialEducationSettingDescriptor will utilize the code value instead of the label, aligning data representation with the specific requirements and standards for Texas.

This update enhances the courses.mp calculation process, ensuring accurate recalculations when a marking period is altered or a new section is introduced. FOCUS-42704- Ed-Fi: Resolve Truncated Descriptors

This update rectifies an issue in EdFi where unmapped descriptors were being truncated, affecting the clarity and completeness of information. With this fix, descriptors are now fully displayed, ensuring that users can view complete data in the EdFi Debug Menu, including the full URI path, enhancing data integrity and usability.

FOCUS-42703- Student Info: Improve Alert Icon Navigation When Tool Tip Not Set

This update resolves an issue where an alert icon without an assigned tooltip field inadvertently used data from the previous field to create a clickable link. With the fix implemented, if a tooltip field is not specified, the alert icon will no longer generate a clickable link, preserving the intended user interface behavior.

FOCUS-42038- Scheduling: New Alternative Course Requests Feature

The latest update introduces the ability to designate up to three alternate course requests for each primary course request, applicable even to non-elective courses. This feature is activated through the system preference "Use new Alternate Student Course Requests (Permanent once enabled)," located in Setup > System Preferences > Default School Preferences/School Preferences > Scheduling tab. Once enabled, this preference cannot be disabled. For users importing course requests from external systems, it's important to adjust the import format to align with the new alternates setup before enabling this feature if the imports include elective priority numbers. This ensures compatibility and functionality of the alternates feature within the system.

FOCUS-41850- School Choice: Field Level Permissions School Choice Report

This update enhances the School Choice Module by introducing individual field-level permissions for the School Choice Report. It enables end users to assign profile permissions to groups, allowing them to view or edit specific elements within a student's choice record. For instance, a profile could be granted edit permissions for verification processes while restricting access to view-only for sensitive information such as status, waitlist, and priority overwrite.

FOCUS-41692- Communication Platform: New Teacher Attendance Alerts Features

The latest update introduces an automation feature for attendance reminders. Previously, to prompt teachers who had not completed attendance, a user needed to manually access the teacher completion report and send messages. Now, reminders can be automatically dispatched a specified number of minutes after a class period begins. This feature is available for customers with the Communication Platform Call Out System expansion. Within the settings tab, when this feature is configured, it will consider various factors including period start and end times, the attendance calendar, rotation days, meeting days, the 'takes attendance' setting on the section, and for CTE, the meeting patterns, as well as any attendance overrides.

FOCUS-42838- Progress monitoring may look at the wrong Amended IEP

Corrected an issue where, in previous versions, viewing a Student SSS Progress Monitoring event incorrectly displayed data from the earliest Amended Individualized Education Program (IEP) event, even if it was amending a different IEP than originally monitored. With the current update, the SSS Progress Monitoring event now accurately shows data from the first IEP event, ensuring consistency and accuracy in the monitoring process.

FOCUS-42821- SSS: Resolve Goal Visibility Issue on Progress Monitoring

Resolved a scenario where a SSS Individualized Education Program (IEP) goal, if mistakenly linked to a different student, was not available for Progress Monitoring. The current update ensures that a goal is exclusively associated with the student tied to the event instance, making it visible for Progress Monitoring and included in the printouts as intended.

FOCUS-42740- SSS: Expanded Explanation to Schedule of Services Frequency of Minutes General Option

The latest update introduces an additional warning for the Schedule of Services Frequency of Minutes SSS General Option: "Warning - if this is enabled, the system will not calculate minutes as expected. The Sync Schedule of Service Job should not be used. A manual entry process will be required for the IDEA Environment, transportation code, total time, and total time non-disabled." This notice ensures users are aware of the implications of enabling this feature and the necessary manual interventions.

FOCUS-41582- SSS: School Selection Enhancement in Alerts

The branch introduces a new "School Column" in SSS, Setup, Alert Triggers, positioned between the Profile and Send Notification Email columns. This addition enhances the customization of alert triggers:

- The School Column allows for multiple selections.

- The dropdown menu will list all active schools within the district.

- If no school is selected, alerts will continue to be sent to all users or profiles as per the existing functionality, maintaining the system's current behavior for broad notifications.

- When one or more schools are selected, alerts will be specifically directed only to the users or profiles at the chosen schools, provided the conditions/values set are met, enabling more targeted and relevant notifications based on school affiliation.
