FOCUS-44605- Scheduling: Streamline Teacher Schedules Report (Sections w/o Teachers)

This update resolves an issue with the Teacher Schedules Report when Planning Periods is leveraged. Previously, sections defined without an assigned teacher would appear at the bottom of the report without data, creating unnecessary rows. This update removes these empty rows, ensuring a cleaner and more accurate report.

FOCUS-44604- Gradebook: Entering No Assignment Description Displayed "Undefined"

This update resolves an issue in the Teacher Gradebook where assignments with no description would display "undefined" when viewed. With this fix, assignments without a description will no longer show the word "undefined."

FOCUS-44602- Communication Platform: Add Link to View Videos to Emails

Previously, when sending a message with a video through the Communication Platform, the email would display a large blank space where the video should be. This update changes the behavior so that the email will now indicate that the message contains a video and provide a link for the recipient to log in and view the video.

FOCUS-44601- Communication Platform: Send Push Notifications on Quick Replies

Previously, if the "send push notification with every message" system preference was enabled, push notifications were not sent for messages replied to from the sent or end box unless the user had opted in. With this update, every quick reply through the Communication Platform will trigger a push notification if the system preference is enabled, regardless of the user's individual setting.

FOCUS-44588- Reenrollment Forms: Respect Preference "Restrict Parents/ Guardians to Editing their Own Contact & Address..."

This update resolves an issue with the Re-Enrollment forms where the system preference "Restrict Parents/Guardians to Editing their Own Contact & Address info and Non-Custodial Contact Info" was not functioning correctly. Previously, parents could edit their information but were unable to edit non-custodial contact information as intended. This branch corrects the issue, allowing parents to edit non-custodial contact information while still restricting edits to other custodial contacts, as expected.

FOCUS-44576- Lunches: Remove Duplicate Teachers in Lunch Rules

This update removes duplicate teachers from appearing in the Lunches program under Lunch Rules, ensuring that each teacher is listed only once.

FOCUS-44569- Student Photos: Improve Error Messaging

This branch changes the error message when an unsupported file type is uploaded. Currently it states that the extension is incorrect. This changes it to say that the file type is incorrect since the extension could be correct but the file type not.

FOCUS-44542- Communication Platform: Prevent Users Without Permission From Publishing Templates in Table View

This update improves permissions handling in the Communication module for template publishing. Users without the 'Publish Templates' permission will no longer see the 'profiles', 'schools', and 'attach to tab' columns in the table view of communication templates. Users with 'Publish Templates' permission, but without 'Edit Templates Created By Others' permission, can now edit publishing fields (profiles, schools, attach to tab) on templates created by others. This ensures a more secure and streamlined user experience.

See Users > Profiles > Students tab > Communication section and Communication (Admin) for more information.

FOCUS-44537- School Report: Resolve Saving on Report

This update fixes an issue in the Schools Report where adjustments would not save and resulted in an error. With this branch, adjustments can be made and saved without encountering any errors, ensuring smooth and reliable functionality.

FOCUS-44523- New Search: Resolve Year-Specific Data Displaying in Scheduled into Sections/ Courses

In the New Search, the "Scheduled into Section(s)" and "Scheduled into Course(s)" options were previously displaying records from both the current and previous school years. This update corrects the issue, ensuring that the options displayed are based on the school year selected in the session.

FOCUS-44522- Hall Pass: Improvements to Student Hall Pass Log/Report

The Hall Pass module has been enhanced with several new features. On the individual student report, two additional counts have been added: "Expired Passes" and "Total Number of Passes," which track expired passes and all passes within a specified date range, respectively. Similarly, on the student and parent Hall Pass screens, three new count boxes have been introduced: "Expired Passes," "Total Number of Passes," and "Time Out of Class," displaying the total expired passes, all passes, and total time out of class measured in hours and minutes.

See Student Info: Hall Passes (admin), Student Info: Hall Passes (teacher), and Hall Passes (parent/student) for more information.

FOCUS-44488- Custom Fields: Resolve Error Saving Computed Query in Logging Fields

This update resolves an issue with the Custom Fields module, where adding a Computed Query to a Computed column within a Logging Field would not save, even if the query was appropriately formatted. With this fix, users can now successfully save computed queries in logging fields as expected.

FOCUS-44413- Elementary Scheduler: Respect ESE/ELL Seat Restrictions

Previously, the Elementary Scheduler did not consider the Max IEP, ESOL/ELL seat restrictions defined in Courses and Sections, potentially leading to overfilled sections. This update corrects this issue, ensuring that student scheduling through this platform adheres to the seat restrictions set in Courses and Sections.

FOCUS-44407- Test History: Improve Test Parts Score Types Sort Order

Previously, when loading student test history, the score types of test parts did not respect the sort order set in the standardized tests setup, often placing score types with no sort order at the front due to null values. This update corrects the issue by ensuring the score types adhere to the defined sort order, accounting for cases where sort order values are null.

FOCUS-44373- Hall Pass: New Student Hall Pass Features

This update introduces several improvements to the Hall Pass module. By default, students can no longer end or check in/out of locations from their portal; they can only create Hall Passes and view their hall pass log. A new column, "Allow Student Portal Check-in/out," has been added to the Hall Pass Setup screen, enabling permission for students to check in or out of locations from their student portal/community app. The "Students should check in" setting has been renamed to "Require Student Check-in," and a new system preference allows districts to enable students to end their Hall Pass through the portal.

See Hall Pass Setup, System Preferences, and Hall Passes (parent/student) for more information.

FOCUS-44361- Scheduling: Improve Percentage of Students Scheduled in Loading Reports Logic

This branch resolves an issue with the Percentage of Students Scheduled value being doubled due to the underlying logic checking for the default Bell Schedule looked at the indicator and for the term 'Default' to be in the title. This update removes the title "Default" criteria. Additionally, a migration is added to set default_schedule to 'Y' if not already set, the title includes "Default," and no other Bell Schedule title includes "Default" for the same school and school year.

FOCUS-44335- Community Mobile App: Respect Leading Zeros on Local ID in Virtual ID Badge

Before the branch the barcode on the parents mobile app would strip any leading zeros for the student id. With the branch the barcode includes any leading zeros.

FOCUS-44286- Custom Fields: New Restricted Edit Permission on Logging Fields

This new feature introduces a "Restricted Edit" permission for Logging Fields. This complements the existing "Restricted View" permission. With this enhancement, organizations can configure permissions so that end users can view all records within a logging field but only edit those they created. This allows for more granular control over data access and editing capabilities within the system.

See Student Fields, User Fields, Referral Fields, Incident Fields, School Fields, District Fields, and Employee Fields for more information.

FOCUS-44282- Zoning: Improve Set Next School & Set Zoned School Logic for Multiples

This branch updates the "Set Next School" and "Set Zoned School" functionalities to prioritize the determination of the Zoned School. When two options exist, the school with the applicable grade level having the lowest sort order in Gradelevel Setup will be chosen. For example, if a 2nd grader's address zones for both Abbott Elementary and Sunrise K8, Abbott Elementary will be favored if its 2nd grade sort order is 1, while Sunrise K8's is 2.

See Scheduled Jobs and Rollover for more information.

FOCUS-43915- Communication Platform: New Send as School Enhancement

This feature enhancement to the Communication Platform allows users to send email communications as the School. When selected, the School name displays in the Inbox for students, parents, and staff, rather than the user name. The "Send as School" option cannot be combined with the "Send as District" or "Allow Student/Parent Reply" checkboxes. This ensures clear identification of the sender and maintains separate functionalities for district-wide communications and replies.

See Communication (Admin) and Profiles for more information.

FOCUS-43241- Elementary Scheduler: New "Gifted" Feature & Customizing ESE/SPED Header

This branch introduces two enhancements to the Elementary Scheduler. A new gifted element has been added. Additionally, a new preference allows renaming the special education column on the Elementary Scheduler. The preference, "Special Education Term for Elementary Scheduler," is set to "ESE" for Florida customers and "SPED" for non-Florida customers by default.

See Elementary Scheduler for more information.

FOCUS-41519- Assessments: Add FLEID to Assessment Reports (Florida)

This enhancement adds the FLEID value to various Assessment reports for customers in Florida. The updated reports include the Test History Report, State Performance Report, At Risk Report, Leading Indicator Report, and College Readiness Reports.

See Test History Report (admin), State Performance Report (admin), At Risk Students (admin), Leading Indicator Report (admin), College Readiness Report (admin), Test History Report (teacher), State Performance Report (teacher), and College Readiness Report (teacher) for more information.

FOCUS-40216- Mass Add Log Records: Improve Display of Inactive Select Options on Prior Log Entries

In the Mass Add Log Entries interface, we've enhanced the visibility of previous log entry selections. While inactive options will still be visible for existing records, they won't be available for selection when adding new entries or updating current ones. This ensures clarity and maintains historical accuracy without compromising current data integrity.

SSS

FOCUS-44514- SSS: New Event ID to SSS Event Reporting Enhancement

This update adds an "Event ID" column to the Detailed Report table in SSS Event Reporting. The new column, displaying the 'sss_event_instances.ID' value, will be positioned after the 'Event' column and before the 'Date Initiated' column. This enhancement applies to all programs and will be present in the detailed report table for Events, Forms & Steps, and Fields. Users can access this by navigating to SSS > Event Reporting, selecting a Program, and running a detailed report for an Event/Form or Step/Field.

See Event Reporting for more information.

FOCUS-44245- SSS: Remove Duplicate Accommodation Location and Frequency Records

This branch removes duplicate records in the Accommodation Location and Accommodation Frequency tabs under SSS > Setup. This cleanup ensures that each record is unique and prevents redundancy in these configurations.

FOCUS-44109- Form Builder: Resolve Field Display on Form History, Pending Approval

This branch resolves an issue with Form Builder forms where field values marked as "Include in Pending Approvals" would not display when viewing the Form History under Pending Approval. This update ensures that all relevant field values are correctly shown in the Pending Approval section of the Form History.

FOCUS-43938- SSS: Schedule of Service IDEA Options Enhancement

This branch enhances the PK IDEA educational environment options in SSS. It ensures that options (Ages 3-5, A, B, J, K, L, M, S) are available for any student turning three years of age within the validity period of the IEP. Option Z remains available for use as well. This enhancement ensures appropriate educational environment selections for young students as they age into eligibility during their IEP period.

CTE

FOCUS-44558- Postsecondary: Update Basic Skills Assessment Scheduled Job

This update enhances the Basic Skills Assessment scheduled job by implementing new logic for TABE scores. If a TABE score is four or more digits (greater than 999), it will not be counted as a passing score, even if it exceeds the minimum score listed on the Modify Programs screen. This change ensures more accurate assessment of passing scores.

See Scheduled Jobs for more information.

FOCUS-43861- FA Worksheet: New functionality to Conduct Calculations based on Credit Hours in addition to Clock Hours

This branch introduces several new settings to the FA Worksheet for tracking by credits or clock hours. A new setting, "FA Worksheet: Default Hours Calculations," allows users to set the default to clock or credit hours. It also includes options to define "Total Award Year-Credit Hours" and "Award Year Weeks - Credit Hours." A dropdown on the FA Worksheet indicates whether to track by credit or clock hours. When using the new Credit Hours options, any mention of Clock Hours is updated accordingly. Payment period calculations adjust based on the total award year credit hours. If 12 or fewer, pay period 1 equals 12 hours; if more, hours split evenly between two pay periods.

See System Preferences > Default School Preferences > Post Secondary tab for more information.

FOCUS-43702- Student Schedule: Order Sections by Start Date in Addition to Start Time (Postsecondary)

This update improves the order of schedule records printed for postsecondary institutions. If the school is indicated as postsecondary, the printed Student Schedule will now order sections in ascending order by both start date and start time. This enhancement ensures a more logical and chronological presentation of student schedules.

See Student Schedule Postsecondary for more information.
