Lesson Templates

The Lesson Templates screen allows administrative users to create lesson templates which can be used by administrative users and teachers to import data to the Lesson Planner or Curriculum Guides / Web Pages upon creating Units and Lessons. Once created, templates can be previewed, edited, and duplicated.

Creating Lesson Templates

1. From the Grades menu, click Lesson Templates.

2. Click the School Templates tab to create a lesson template for the school selected from the school pull-down located in the header.

2a. Click the District Templates tab to create a lesson template for all schools in the district.

3. From the applicable tab, click Create template.

4. Enter a template Title in the provided text box.

5. Enter the Template information in the provided text box. Here you can enter text, choose a background color, insert a table, insert a link, and more.

The text box allows you to bold, italicize, underline, and strikethrough text, as well change the font type and size, format in bullets, add background color, add a table of information, add a link, picture, video, and more.

6. When finished, click Create.

Once created, your template displays on the applicable tab where you can Preview, Edit, or Duplicate.

Editing and Deleting Lesson Templates

1. From the Grades menu, click Lesson Templates.

2. Click the School Templates tab to edit lesson templates created for the school selected from the school pull-down located in the header. Click the District Templates tab to edit lesson templates created for all schools in the district.

3. From the applicable tab, you can edit the Title of the Lesson Template by clicking the Title text box.

4. Click Edit to edit the Lesson Template.

a. Edit the body of the Template as needed.

b. Click Save to apply changes.

5. To delete a lesson template, click the delete button (red minus sign).

a. Click OK in the confirmation pop-up window to delete the lesson template.

Previewing and Duplicating Lesson Templates

1. From the Grades menu, click Lesson Templates.

2. Click the School Templates tab to preview or duplicate lesson templates created for the school selected from the school pull-down located in the header. Click the District Templates tab to preview or duplicate lesson templates created for all schools in the district.

3. From the applicable tab, click Preview.

a. Click the white X to close the template preview.

4. Click Duplicate to create a copy of the lesson tempalte.

a. Select the type of lesson template you want to be duplicated by selecting the destination tab for the new template from the Duplicate to pull-down.

b. Click Duplicate template.

Once copied, the new lesson template displays on the selected tab as "Duplicated: Original Name of Template."
